Thank you so much to my mum, Adriana Vaughn. I would never have gotten here without you and would never have the English I have today. You make my days shine and my soul spark! Love you dad, Cesar San Miguel, for all the motivational speech and for giving the best for me at all times; always preoccupied with my well-being and education. A special thanks to my friends-and my teacher Joe- from the Immerse Education course 2021: Hailey, Larissa, K’Launi, Erdem and so many more that have trusted my abilities and were nice to me through and through. I also would like to mention my other relatives and how much their compassion and care brings the best of me and moves me forwards, paving the way to whatever crazy ideas I have in mind. I couldn’t leave my mark in the world if I didn’t praise my cousin Sophie, who even being nine, has such good humor and warm words that soften my candy-cane-teenage heart.
Finally, many of my poems were based on true stories along with my five best friends: Julia Vilarino, Sophia Campalans, Júlia Cipriano, Luna Lima and Pamela Lopes, whose friendship will endure until we all become stardust wandering over Earth. Words cannot describe how much I admire these girls. Their laughs, smiles, reading recommendations and life experiences are beyond entertaining as well as charming. Last but not least, I thank the readers that have chosen this book amidst so many others and I really hope I’m on the right page with my writing. I pray that it was an enjoyable reading from a green writer.
Hugs,
