SHAUNA BROWN, DAUGHTER OF CARLOTTA, YOUNGER SISTER OF COTTON, HAS ALWAYS HAD A PASSION FOR SINGING, EVER SINCE SHE HEARD HER MOTHER AND HER MOTHER'S BEST FRIEND, MARY, SINGING.
Carlotta was all for it up until Mary died when she was ten, then she just turned into a church-going woman, burying all of her past about her girl group life with Mary.
Of course, being a grown woman, Shauna would sing in private, doing covers of her favorite artists and post them online. Without Carlotta knowing, of course.
THE CRANES WERE... SPOILED TO SAY THE LEAST. Since they had really famous parents, they got everything handed to them, not lifting a finger for anything. Well, on the outside that's how it went. Behind the camera's and paparazzi was a different story. Their mother was an alcoholic, but she still at least tried to make an effort with her children. Their dad was terrible. He cared nothing about them unless it was to push his own career. Michelle often wondered how he could even remember their names and birthdays. Well, except one of the Crane girls.
Mariah, the youngest of the Cranes at 14, got the coddling and the support from their parents that the rest wished they had from their parents. So much so, that she had no idea what problems her parents had. She was what society would call a "Rainbow Baby," the baby after a miscarriage, so she guessed that was why she got special treatment. Or maybe it was because she wasn't expected to make it past 3 years of age. Whatever it was, it made the two oldest of the Crane children steer clear of Mariah.
The oldest Crane, Alexandra, took up singing and songwriting, singing covers and posting them on Instagram. One of her first followers was a girl named Star. She told Alexandra that she loved her voice and would love to sing with her. The two became friends almost instantly, growing closer. Star told the sisters that she also had a sister somewhere, and when she found her, they would start a girl group.
On the day that one of the youngest, Michelle, went away with her mother for two weeks, and Mariah was at a friends house, was the day the girls put their plan into action.
