School & Summer

'Ahhhh, only two more weeks to summer vacation... I can't wait!' Killian said while laying down his pen on the table. 'Dude dude dude, do you even realise how AWESOME this is going to be?!' He was talking to me. He often just dreams away thinking of how awesome things are going to be. 'Yes I do realise how awesome this is going to be, I mean... Who doesn't like going to Australia?' I said. 'I KNOW RIGHT?!!' He instantly responded, ' Backpacking with all of our friends! Living life! Woohoo!!'
'Quiet please.' Yes, teacher saved me from him. It's not that I don't like him, I do like him, as a friend of course, but sometimes... He talks to much.

2 hours later, we were out of school.
Killian was really enjoying the bright sun shining down on him and said, 'I really really can't wait man.' I said: 'I know, you have only told me like... 100 times?'
'Sorry, I'm just a bit overexcited, it's my first time without parents! No museums, no city trips, just being with friends, being cool yo.' He said when he put on his sunglasses.
We went to his house, it was a beautiful day, hot in the sun, nice and warm in the shadow. We sat outside for a bit with some ice tea with ice cubes and then called the others. Tonight we were meeting up together for the last time before the trip.
We were going to go to our plans again, and make some adjustments here and there.

'So you will be there at 9pm? Awesome, see you then!' Killian hung up. I could tell from his face he was way to overexcited. I was excited too, but he was like 10 times more excited than me. Ah well, it was going to be an awesome time together for sure.

We ate pizza for dinner and then I played some games of Awesomenauts with him, I sure was going to miss those games. He was always fun to game with, sometimes he rages, but he and I could laugh about it afterwards.

It was 8:45pm, Darryl was the first to show up. 'Hey Joshua, how are you doing? Excited yet?!!'
'Yeah! I can't wait!' I said while closing the door behind him. 'Anyways, go catch up with Killian, he's in the back finishing up one of his games.'
Then Jennifer arrived. 'Heyyy!'
'Hi Jennifer! Go to the back of the house, I'll wait for the others.'
'Kk' she said while already walking to the back.

The other friends arrived. I walked to the back as well, together with the last one who arrived, Carlos. He was always a little late, I looked on my watch and saw it was 9:10pm.

I walked into the room and I spoke loudly: 'SO. WHICH ONE OF YOU LOSERS NICKED MY DEODERANT?' They all had to laugh.
'Anyways, who would like something to drink? Glasses are in the kitchen, bottles are in the garage. Have fun!'
All 14 of them went to get a glass of coca cola, fanta or ice tea.

When they were back I sat down, followed by them. I put down my little whiteboard and wrote down our plans. 'Let's start by going through our plans again.'
