Elzaan pov:
Today has been so boring and stressful. I'm currently sitting in my last class for the day and thank the lord that it's the last day of the semester, I don't think I could survive yet another day in this place or the weekly workload. At least this is my favorite teacher and he's just going on about how we should be careful and have fun on break. Mr Mendez has always been a fun and understanding teacher, he hardly gives us the workload other teachers do and he understands that we need more time whenever it's long essays or assignments. "And with that, the bell is about to ring so I hope you listened to what I said, especially you Elzaan, I know how you like to zone out after 7 minutes" he said. "That's just because the first seven minutes hold the actual information, the rest is just descriptions that we get on our textbook, and if you said something that wasn't in the textbook, I would listen for longer" I say confidently.
Mr Mendez studies my face with a stare I could only translate as "so that's how it is". Suddenly he bursts out laughing and everyone joins him. I look at the clock at the center of the room to check the time, just a few more seconds aaannndddd...
*DIIINNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGG*
the bell goes off and I immediately get up."You're getting smart and quick with those comebacks I see, have a good holiday everyone!" Mr Mendez finally says and I all but sprint out the door. I love that sir and all but I hate biology with a passion and I can't wait to get home and plop down in my soft bed and.." Xanny!!" I hear someone shout as soon as I get out the door. Nonetheless is it my roommate, Lana.
We met in the beginning of the year when we moved into the college dorms and we've been inseparable ever since. She's a smart yet stupid little pain the neck, but she always has my back when I need her and she stays true to her word. She doesn't answer her phone often when she's knee-deep into a new romance novel or at the gym but to be fair it goes both ways. She has medium length dark brown hair with a blonde streak in the front, a ripped blue jeans that's loose around her legs but snug around her behind and waist. Her hoodie (that's nearly half her size) has the Harvard logo in bold and you'd swear you could fit two people in it. She's about 5'3 or 5'4, which is just an inch or two shorter than my 5'5 self.
She walks up to me, backpack slung over one shoulder and putting her phone back into her hoodie pocket. "How did you get here so fast? The bell literally just rang" I ask. "I went out the window while the teacher was turned around explaining safety and whatever else, thankfully the others talked a little louder so she wouldn't hear when I got stuck for a little and fell out onto the grass, so she hardly noticed" she says. "Ahh I see, you sneaky little-" I say, but get cut off. "Nah uh, no. I was just excited to get out of class so we can celebrate!!" she says. "Well then why are we still standing here? let's get going already" I say, lighting shoving her forward and we both all but sprint to her car. She unlocks the doors and we both get in, throwing our backs in the backseat and closing the doors. "go go go!!" I shout and she's already half way out the parking space and on our way home.
