Chapter - 4: Where It All Started

MIKEY!!" Screamed Christopher, a small boy with dark brown hair and dark grey eyes.

"C.C?! Exclaimed Michael, getting off his phone and running to Chris's room.

"C.C?! What's wrong!?" Exclaimed Michael, looking at C.C.

"N-Nightmares.. t-they came alive again!" Said C.C.

"Chris.. you know nightmares don't exist, I told you so many times.." Said Michael, sitting with C.C in his laps.

"Give bubba a hug?" Asked Michael.

"M-mhm.." Said Chris, giving Michael a big hug, wrapping his arms around him.

"*Sigh* it's like when my friend Noah hugs me y'know Chris?"

"M-Mikey!!" Screamed Elizabeth, a girl with beige hair and bright green eyes from her room.

"Elizabeth!?" Exclaimed Michael, carrying Chris with him to his sister's room, "what's wrong?"

"I want mommy.." Said little Elizabeth.

"Mom and dad went out Elizabeth, why don't you go back to sleep?" Asked Michael, holding Chris in one arm and Elizabeth's chin in the other.

"C-Can you sleep with me and Chris..?" Asked Elizabeth, with her puppy-dog eyes.

"Sure.. cmon Chris." Said Michael, putting Chris down on the bed and covering the three with a blanket.

"Bubby.. can you read us a story?" Asked Chris.

"You usually ask mom, why me this time?" Asked Michael, confused.

"I want you today bubby! Please!?" Said Elizabeth.

"Alright, alright! I'll read you a story," Said Michael, reaching for a book under Elizabeth's bright pink bed.

"How about this one?" Asked Michael, holding up a small story book.

"Okay!" Replied Chris.

"Okay, come and sit in my laps Chris, I mean if you wanna be comfortable.." Said Michael, pulling the blanket up.

"Okay!" Said Chris, climbing up and sitting in between Michael's legs and leaning on his stomach.

"Okay, once upon a time.." Said Michael, narrating a fairytale to his siblings, while himself, falling asleep.

"Michael..?" Whispered Michael's mother, Mrs. Afton, or Claire, peeping into Elizabeth's bedroom.

"Mmh.." Replied Michael, his hand on Chris's head, and the other supporting Elizabeth's head, sleeping.

"William.. honey look at this.." Whispered Claire, pointing at their children.

"That'd be the first time I've seen those three together and not fighting over chocolates-." Said William.

"Oh shut up!" Exclaimed Claire, taking a picture and walking out and closing the door.

"So you've arranged for Michael's transfer?" Asked Mrs. Afton.

"Yes I have, considering Madison was a.. you know. And Michael's friends are moving too, why not change schools too?" Said William.

"You know.." Started Claire.

"What?" Asked William.

"Are you sure Madison was.. like that? Sure, she was a little ignorant, but do you know why she broke up with Michael?" Asked Mrs. Afton.

"Michael.. told me." Said William.

"Why..?" Asked Claire.

"Michael's bi, I think you know what that is right..?" Said William.
