The way it works -chapter 6

Nara's POV

On monday I walk into school with so many pairs of eyes on me. Even while walking down the halls eyes are still on me. What the hell? I'm so confused. Why are so many eyes on me? I bump into someone. I look up and it's Jade but he has this look on his face like He's hurt. What could I have done? He puts his hands on my waist to get past me. What the actual? He never does this. My phone buzzes.

Kiara: Nara where tf are you?
Me: I just showed up at school
Kiara: Have you seen the video?
Me: What video?
Kiara: send me your location

I send Kiara my location. She sees me,grabs my arm, and pulls me into the girls restroom.
"Look at what Piper posted." She shows me a video of me and Noah Laurent talking from a far. In the caption it says "Look what I caught Nara Hemway doing." What the fuck?
I tell Kiara, "I need to find Jade." She nods. Next thing I know I'm running down the hall looking for Jade but I can't seem to find him.

Me: Jade can we talk? please

I'm in English class trying to stay focused and not think about Jade. I hear...
"There's Nara the slut," Some guy mutters. My eyes start to water. Oh no I can't do this here. I grab my stuff and leave English without asking. I'm already crying before I'm out the door.
"Nara what happened?" I look up to see Jade's concerned face.
"Nothing," I tell him while I try to walk away but Jade grabs my arm and asks,
"Nara what happened?"
"Some jerk called me a slut,"  I mutter.
"Who?" He asks.
"Some guy in my English class. It doesn't matter Jade let it be," I tell him. I try to walk away again but he pulls me toward him.
"Nara we need to talk," He tells me.
"I know,"  I say back. He puts his hands on my cheeks and wipes my tears away. Damn I love Jade Korbin so much I don't think he knows it.  Looking into his eyes makes me realize he's the kind of love I crave and long for.
Jade says, "I'll pick you up later."
I reply, "Ok."

Jade's POV

I'm pissed that some guy called Nara a slut. She doesn't deserve that. I'm driving to pick Nara up because we need to talk after that video Piper posted. I want to believe that Nara wouldn't do that.
I knock on Nara's front door and she comes out. We get in the car.

I drove us to the rooftop and now we're here.
"I still love you Nara so much," I tell Nara.
"I love you, you Jade Korbin." She turns her head and our gazes meet.  I could tell she's blinking back tears. I remember the first time we met she was doing something with her best friend, Kiara. I was with one of my friends and couldn't stop looking at this gorgeous girl. After that day I couldn't stop thinking about her. That's when I had finally worked up the courage to ask her out and when I did she said yes.
"I swear Jade, me and Noah were just talking," she mutters. I really do believe her.
"Nara I believe you," I tell her. She looks back at the sky.
"You do?" She asks. I move closer to her and wrap my arms around her waist. I whisper in her ear,
"I do." Then I press my lips  onto her neck. Meeting Nara Hemway was like listening to a new song knowing it would be my favorite before it even started. Even in the darkest of rooms Nara would still manage to find a way to make the room bright. It honestly doesn't surprise me that Piper posted that video because I know she's jealous of Nara. Nara turns around and crashes her lips onto mine.
