Everything feels hazy.

I blink my heavy eyelids open once again.

Red, I see a red light up sign hanging on the wooden wall. It says Coca-Cola on it, huh.

Now that I'm looking there's a shit ton of signs on the wall, some light up, some are just plain old vintage signs and framed posters.

That's interesting.

I feather my eyes shut, somehow feeling dizzy while laying down. I move over to my side, pressing my face against leather. It's cold in here.

My eyes spring back open when I realize I don't know where here is. My body flies up into a sitting position,
my heart thrashes in my chest like it struggles to pump blood through my veins.

With tense shoulders I look around the room trying to gather my surroundings, or well bar, not room.

I'm in a bar?

Wooden floors, wooden walls, it's designed like a fucking cabin. All sorts of different signs litter every single wall, this whole place resembling a giant collage.

I hate to say it actually looks kind of rustic and warm.

There's a pool table in front of me, or a row of pool tables actually. To my left is a big open room full of tables, and to the right of those tables, in the middle of the room there's a U-shaped bar, also wooden and lined with red lights. And in front of me past the line of pool tables, and past the bar is two wooden doors that I guess lead out of this place.

I can't see what's on the other side of the bar but I'm guessing it's just more tables.

I shut my eyes trying to remember what feels like a blurry dream.

I'm at Skeleton Key. Harry shoots the man who had me in a chokehold, I fell on the floor with that said man on top of me. The floor was really slippery for some reason so I was able to slide out from underneath him, then I stitched up Aces shoulder.

What the fuck happened after that?

I drop my head down feeling frustrated with my lack of ability to gain consciousness over what's happened to me.

My eyes land on more red. Dark red, all over my shirt.

I feel my heart constrict in my chest as I start to flick my eyes over my own body noticing my whole entire chest covered in dried blood along with my hands.

Oh that's what happened.

I obviously had to have known why the floor was slippery, but I probably just pushed that thought out of my brain knowing I wouldn't be able to deal with it.
