I was on my own again. I moved my stuff into Yoongi's bag because it was bigger and the dog seemed to aghast well to the new arrangement. I didn't really know what to do other than to just continue the way we were going.
I re-located the river but maintained distance. I didn't know zombies would swim.
I got thirsty and went to get some water. I didn't have much left and I knew I couldn't drink from the river. I sighed and walked and walked and walked. The day seemed to go by fast but slow at the same time.
Winter was nearing. I could tell by the days getting shorter. I didn't have much winter supplies, I had a jacket and a blanket but that wasn't good enough for cold weather. Being in northern Vietnam it could get really cold and snowy.
I stopped for a few minutes to look at everything in Yoongi's bag. He had quiet a few goods in there. He had herbs in bags and one smelled like marijuana which was really good to have. It's good to use as a pain killer for faster recovery. He had empty water bottles, and weapons, mostly sharp objects, he a roll of thread and a needle to patch clothing and shoes, a beanie hat and gloves, some dog food, some garlic and pink sea salt.
I rubbed a garlic clove behind my ears and my hands. I got quite chilly that night. I didn't stop traveling because of it. I figured if I kept walking I wouldn't get as cold.
Even when morning came I didn't stop until it got to point where my legs gave out and I tumbled to the ground. My knee scratched against the ground and I hissed. "Sorry holly" I said when I felt the dog tumble in the backpack.
I picked myself back up and continued, slightly limping on my leg. I pulled my pant leg up so the fabric could cover the bleeding area and keep it clean. My back hurt from how heavy the backpack was and I had to stop again. I sat on the ground and held my leg close to me. I let the dog out of the bag and he sniffed around the area. I wondered if the dog knew how to follow me. If maybe he could just follow me instead, the book bag wouldn't be so heavy.
I stood up and swung the backpack over my shoulders. I started to leave when I heard paws scurrying to catch up to me. The dog trotted beside me and I smiled at it. This was gonna be a lot easier. "Good boy" I praised and we kept it going.
There were a lot of mountains and hills in Vietnam. Very green too. Totally different from where I come from.
I wanted to get farther than I was so I started jogging and the dog kept up pretty well. That went on for a while and I enjoyed the light running. I skidded to a stop when a figure stood before me.
The man turned around and my mouth dropped. "You thought you could get rid of me that fast huh?"
Sorry for the short chapter I just feel like I haven't updated this story in a while and I feel bad so yeah.
