"Ow- Mom- that hur- OW!"

Glory pulled the cloth with the disinfecting poultice. I rubbed my wound tentatively

"O-w-w!" I hissed, pulling my talon away. "That stings, Mom," Glory sighed and put down the cloth, clapping her talons together. She shook her head.

"I have to clean the wound so it can heal properly, Bug," she sighed again, picking up the cloth again. She pressed it to the wound on my neck. I inhaled sharply, tears pricking at my eyes. The poultice felt like fire against my wound. Oh, moons it burned. Glory pressed it there for a few more seconds, then pulled it away.

"I just need to wrap it now," she picked up the large leaves she had to wrap it with. She pressed the leaves to my wound and used the bandaging cloth to keep it on.

"Anything else?" Glory eyed me and raised her eyebrows. I nodded, sighing, and held out my claw that had torn. The actual claw part was now hanging by a thread, and it was bleeding heavily. Glory sighed, again, and started cleaning it off. She then pressed the poultice to it and wrapped it with the bandaging cloth. I turned and presented a gash on my side, and repeated what she did for my claw.

"I'll just bandage my cuts, Mom," I picked up the bandaging cloth and the cleaning cloth and flew off the terrace, flying up to my room on the third pavilion of the treehouse palace. I landed softly in my room, putting down the items I brought with me.

"Dwagonfwuit!" a little voice squealed all of the sudden, making me jump. I turned and saw my littlest sister sitting in my hammock, all smiles and giggles.

"Sapphire!" I exclaimed, picking her up and placing her on the floor. "Get out of my room!" I pointed out to the terrace, seeing her face fall. I hissed at her, baring my fangs. She didn't budge.

"But-"

"Get OUT!" I clenched my fists and hissed at her again. Sapphire's lip quivered, and she galloped out of the room, sobbing. Sapphire didn't tattle. She would just go to her room and read until she stopped sobbing.

(Hey, this isn't done! I have major writer's block right now. I will get this chapter to at least 1500 words, so just stick around.)
