“Guys, with the dance coming up, I thought you could use a lesson on how to ask a lady out.” Leo told the boys at school a few weeks later.
“Oh, great. Do you know a guy who can teach us?” Adam asked him. Oh, you have no idea who he has come up with tou to help with the little dilemma.
“Me!” the small boy exclaimed. I snorted at that. Yeah, right.
“Leo, you don’t know how to ask a girl out, because you never have to my knowledge. And if you did, you most likely failed at it.” I told him.
Leo glared at me before turning to his brothers. “You're gonna watch me ask out the girl of my dreams: Danielle.” I rolled my eyes.
“Danielle? Isn't she the girl who uses you as a footstool in math class?” asked Chase. Yes, she is. And I hate her for that.
“Where else is she supposed to put her feet-- on the floor?!" Um... yes? "Open your notebooks, boys, 'cause class is in session.” Leo walked over to Danielle.
I’m just going to stand here to watch this whole shit fall through the floor like no one saw it coming. Well I did. I heard Danielle call him by the wrong name (Lenny) and she walked away. I put my hand over my mouth to muffle my laughter.
“So, Leo... What should I write down in my notebook? I mean, other than ‘denied’.” Chase chuckled.
“No, no, no, you can cheat off of me. I have, ‘She's not going to the dance with Lenny.’” I had to laugh at that. I slammed my locker shut and walked over to them.
“Are you guys talking about the dance too? Why is everybody making such a big deal out of this stupid dance?” asked Bree.
“Nobody's asked you yet, have they?” inquired Chase.
“No! But then again nobody's asked [Y/N] yet either." Bree said.
"Hey, I have been asked. I said no." That was a disaster.
"You got asked?" asked Chase with a raised eyebrow.
"She did. By Trent and two other boys." Bree said. I regret telling her everything now.
"I would rather sit home playing Monopoly with my mother." I got weird looks from the four of them. "Okay, I'll go. But I'm only going to hang out with you four weirdos."
"You just wanna play monopoly with your mother because the guy you want to go with already has a date." Leo told me.
"How the hell did you find that out?" I asked, turning my attention to him.
"Oh, Leo reads your diary. There's a lot of juicy stuff in there." Chase said with a smile before he put on his nonsuspicious-look on his face which only makes him look more guilty. "Or so I have been told."
I turned to Bree, the current sane one of the group besides me (but not for much longer on either of our ends). "What were you saying? About not being asked to the dance yet?"
"Right. Okay... Okay, so I really wanna go with that guy.” she pointed to a guy at his locker. “His name is Ethan. We sit next to each other in chemistry. Coincidence? I think not. Chemistry! What should I do?”
“I got this.” Chase moved his hair from his ear enabling his bionic hearing to hear the conversation the boy bree liked was having with his friend. “He's talking about a girl he thinks is cute." A pause. “EW! He's talking about you! He's coming over here right now to ask you to the dance.”
“What?! No! Now? Why? Really?” asked Bree.
Ethan walked over to us. “How's it going?”
