"Your so ugly". The bullies crowd 5 year old Gene' while she is at recess.
"Leave me alone please". She reply's lowly with her head down. Gene' was always a shy person. She had no friends and would rather be at home with her parents watching full house.
"Can yall just leave her alone damn". 6 year old Tarai says. He watches these 3 girls bully this girl in the grade lower than him everyday and he is tired of it.
The 3 girls rush away , and Gene' looks up and smiles. No one has every stood up for her.
"Thank- . She hears the bell and quickly thanks the boy she learns that is named Tarai before rushing off to class.
Since that day the two friends has been inseparable.

Gene' pov
Gene' sits down in her bedroom watching Dora , while hearing her parents shout loudly.
She quietly walks down the stairs listening on her parents conversation.
" This marriage is done Genisis." Her mother sighs.

"Mama I have project." 12 year old Terai wakes his mother up at 10pm nervous.
"When is it due". she mumbles
" Uhh Tomorrow morning for Science class". He says nervously knowing his teacher gave him this project two weeks ago.

In the car with his mom while she quickly drives to Walmart to get materials to do this project. She lectures him about coming to her the night before his project is done.
" Terai are you even listening to me right now" She says tired of talking to him about the same thing. While she turns her head to look at him a car slams into her side.

"Why do you have to leave Tarai". 11 year old Gene' says.
"My dad says we have too".12 year old Tarai says.
"Till the wheels fall off". She smiles while crying.
" Till the wheels fall off" . Tarai say to his best friend.
