Abhay stood on a roof facing a big white house. An important government official's house. The gun with the binoculars were all pointed at the room he was in. He had bugged her room where he could hear and record every ounce of her conversation.

"Yes........I will see to it. RAW won't know.........I understand but trust me, Vijay Malik won't get caught. They don't know I work with you."

He chuckled at the last sentence. He casually took out his phone. His home screen was a picture of Verena dressed in a dress as red as her hair and her smile reaching her mismatched eyes. He smiled sadly, looking at her.

"I'm sorry." He whispered, as if apologizing to Verena. He clenched his jaw and took out his SIM card and memory card before destroying the phone there.

"Don't worry......I will win the elections.......Then ISIS will have enough control." She hung up right after that.

He aimed the gun at her. He waited until she came in view. She was Maria Sundaram, a candidate for elections as the Speaker of Lok Sabha. She was secretly working with the ISIS and selling highly classified and sensitive information to them.

She had stopped briefly in the middle of the room. Abhay took his shot and the bullet went straight through her heart and she collapsed.

Hearing the gunshot, the servants rushed in and were shocked to see her dead. They were frantic after that. One of them looked out the window but found no one standing there. It was as if a ghost had hit her.

Verena was unaware of this. She sat in her car in front of the big blue house which belong Abhijit Dutt, a candidate who was working with ISIS. He had to be killed in a dramatic way so that the police investigation could delay the elections since allegedly, he had another accomplice too but RAW didn't know who.

There were five guards outside the door. Verena pulled the footages from inside the house and saw that he had three more bodyguards in the living room with him sitting on the couch, sipping wine. She checked the other rooms. In one room his twin sons slept and another room where his parents were asleep.

She couldn't risk injuring them or letting them see something so traumatic so she had to create her own world. But she had to create drama. His house had sprinklers. Verena smiled. Perfect.

She covered her face with a cloth sparing the eyes and got down from her car. She straight walked towards them. one of the guards stepped forward. "Ma'am, you can't enter....."

Before he could finish, she had punched him in the face and drove a knife through his heart. She was like the wind after. She didn't give them the chance to warn anyone else. She took them out one by one, switching weapons in between.

She took a deep breath after they lay dead, bleeding out on the driveway. She kicked the door down and the three guards shouted at her. Before they could lead their politician away, she shot down two guards with two arrows that she had conjured.

One guard sneaked up from behind her but she was ready. The bow and arrow changed into a sword and she stabbed the man behind her without even turning around. Her eyes were on Vijay Malik as she drew the blade out.

The sword turned into a dagger as she approached him. His eyes were filled with fear and his racing heart was loud enough for her to hear. He threw the glass of wine at her but she just waved her hand and glass crashed into one of his vases.

"Please...please don't hurt my family." He begged, his voice shaking with fear.

"Then be quite." She took the bottle of wine and poured it over him. She snapped her fingers and he was immediately caught on fire. She drove the blade through his heart.

"I'm sorry. May God bless your soul." She whispered and left the scene.

Abhay smiled as he saw Verena flee from the scene. She had her face covered but he could recognize her mismatched eyes anywhere. He stood on the house opposite to the site of crime.

He knew she hated killing but loved causing scenes by using different weapons. She was the best agent he had ever worked with. He felt bad leaving her just like that.

She sat in her room. Her room was painted in her favorite color purple. There was a desk across her bed, a wardrobe right next to her bed, the dressing table on the side of the beside the bedside table and another door which led to her bathroom.

She had already changed into a t-shirt and shorts with her hair tied in a ponytail. It was one in the morning and she just stared at the gift. She wanted to open the gift so badly. He was always full of surprises.

There was a notification on her phone. It was from Abhay. Go ahead. Open the gift.

She grinned at her phone and tore away the wrapping paper. She then opened the box. It was a beautiful diamond earring and necklace set. The necklace was a simple silver chain with a diamond locket and the earrings were slightly heavier and hanging.

Her eyes widened in ecstasy and she squealed. She was over the moon. He must have spent a lot on it but it looked so damn gorgeous. She couldn't wait to try to try it.

She noticed a letter attached to the upper case of the box. She plucked it and opened the letter. She was shocked at reading the contents of the letter. It said:

Dear Verena,

I want you to know that I love you and treasure you but I apologize for leaving you so suddenly. Its something I have to do. Forgive me if you find the courage in your heart. You are gorgeous and this set will look perfect on you. I apologize again.

Yours sincerely,

Abhay Singh.
