Rain clattered on the hard windshield of my car. The lights from the city became colorful blurs as the rain's powerful shots of water got harder and harder. It was just an average day in April 2015. Rain was poring, cars were beeping, and people were scattering to find shelter.

I gripped the steering wheel with anger from the endless traffic and nonstop bullshit from my boyfriend. I had just turned 17 that day and we were planning to go to a fancy restaurant to celebrate. But of course "Something came up. Sorry babe next time." And that "something" was a baseball game.

A baseball game.

Who would even want to go to a baseball game if it was raining? My face got redder and redder from how furious I was. This wasn't even the first time he had done this. He did it every time we made plans. By this time I was done.

My foot lowered itself more and more on the gas pedal until I was going 40 mph passed the cars that were stopped bumper to bumper. I hadn't even realized how fast I was going until suddenly a huge bus came out from a corner.

Then my whole world had stopped.

Everything that was going on in my head as well as the other beeping cars and other drowning noises of the city around me was silent.

Everything turned white. It wasn't just your regular paper colored white. It was the color of a fresh snowstorm with no marks or pollution or anything ruining its complexion. It was that shade of white where the sun would shine it's brightest beams on the pure white snow. So white that it felt as if it were blinding me.
