"The hell's so special about this?" The voice outside was muffled by the sound of running water from the sink in front of you, a quiet look of contemplation on your face as you finished up doing whatever. After that little. . .mind-fuck of a reveal from that paper you had to use the—cramped—bathroom, and just as you were finishing you heard Dabi enter and Freddie striking up a conversation.

You. . .didn't know why you've been washing your hand for so long, and it took you a moment to stop the tap lest you wanted to give the girl a higher water bill.

You stared at your reflection on the slightly dirtied mirror, a frown etched onto your face as you sigh. The light makeup you had put on earlier as a sort of fun little thing for today was. . .honestly it still looked good, you just felt like a loser. Why exactly? Well the answer wasn't exactly clear even to you.

"Yo Y/N," There were two knocks on the door that sounded more like a fist pounding into it, "You shitting in there?"

"Why, wanna join me?" You ask in a tone as sarcastic as you could muster before swinging the door open, a sort of bewildered look on Freddie's face before she snorts. "You actually have a sense of humor?"

          "Rude."

"So I'm just supposed to expect that I gave you a password to a hidden aspect in my phone, just for it to contain a blurry picture of a fucking note?" The fun was cut short by an agitated voice that very much belonged to the only other party, holding up the said device with a scowl on his face. The blue haired girl shrugs from beside you, heading to the counter you were currently facing, "Pretty much. Maybe it's from the future."

His brows furrow deeper as Freddie spares a shrug, grabbing a small red cylindrical tumbler from the fridge and spinning it open dramatically, "Just follow the instructions, man, what do you want me to say? It's simple enough instructions, surely your caveman brain can at least handle that, right?"

There was a sigh—that honestly sounded more like a groan—from his part, pocketing the phone before heading for the exit. The exit that. . .was to your left, and one he had to get to. . .by passing by you first.

"Aw, not even a thanks for my help?"

"Whatever." He opens the door, leaves, and it closes with a soft bang.

          . . .

          . . .

          . . .

"What a nice ray of sunshine, that one is," She chuckles, already putting the container back. But this chuckle. . .felt sort of different. Sadder, even. Like it was one she just barely got in before you started getting suspicious of how she actually felt about it.

"But you should follow his advice, shocker I know, I know," Freddie stretches as she turns to you, head tilting to the door, "It's gonna get late. As much as I'd hate kicking you out, Nejire's probably worried about you."

Your eyes almost widen to saucers before she grins, that cheeky kind that you normally find on kids about to do something stupid, "Don't question it, you totally mentioned her earier. Go on, it'll get cold out, and your coat honestly doesn't look thick enough." Now it was your turn to sigh, but didn't argue any further, tightening back your scarf and grabbing hold of your bag before agreeing.

"Thanks for everything, Fred, it means a lot." You smiled, the urge to mutter 'I think' great but not great enough for you to fall for it, "We never could've gotten that without you."
