[S2] 58 장 ; the lovers comeback

Late Afternoon. Yongpyong Resort. EunHa's POV. 

I fiercely gaze at the snowy hills, overcasting with thick white sheets of snow and breeze air around the area. The sky was grey, concealing the yellow rays which I suppose there might be a vast snowfall happening any time soon. Nevertheless, it did not stop every guest of this cabin from enjoying this winter break while gliding down the hills with their skii, making snow angels, throwing some circles for a snowball fight with their friends, and taking pictures of wonderful memories. 

"It's pretty cold out here, why won't you come inside?" I pivot my head right to find Jaehyun, looking more at ease as he starts to puff a cloud of smoke out with his cigarette. He leans through the balcony edge where he distanced himself from me. 

I smiled at his kind gesture, turning my attention now to him. "Tequila made my body warm as ever, so I don't mind staying a bit out here." "Two shots made you warm?" He puffs to the other direction, making sure the smoke won't draw close to my face. 

My cheeks turned red, realizing how Jaehyun must have been paying attention to me a while ago. I stutter, "I-I mean, it's too early to get drunk." 

"What are you, a kid?" He chuckles, making me wonder if it isn't a joke. Or was it?  I looked strikingly at him as I move to his side and punch his arm. "Yah~! Don't make me feel bad or else.." 

Suddenly, my peripheral vision caught Taehyung coming out the balcony door with a bottle of beer in his hand. He approaches to the side of Jaehyun and the latter tossed him his lighter. "..or else what?" 

I spaced out for a moment, as I could just observe Taehyung lighting up his cigar while Jaehyun continues to wonder the unfinished conversation. "So you think I'm a kid?" I snapped back. Without thinking any much, I snatched the beer from Taehyung and started to gulp the remaining half with no hesitation. "EunHa.." Both voices mumbled. 

As I gulp the last drop, I squint and wipe the edge of my mouth. Unable to move, both of them were shocked with what I did just now. "I guess that's enough to make me warm up even more?" I challenged Jaehyun, which made the guy in an awkward state. 

"I guess.. Happy Birthday indeed." It was all Jaehyun can say afterward, slow clapping his hands in front of me but I can see in the corner of my eyes the sudden frustration of Taehyung. "Oh, I'm sorry about your drink, I'll just get you a new one if that is okay with you." I grin awkwardly, feeling my cheeks flush in pink. Instead of letting me go back inside, he slowly grips my wrist as he takes back the empty bottle from my hand. 

"It's fine, as if as though we will be running out of drinks today." He spoke in a humble manner. My eyes looked down still at his arm gripping mine until a sudden blow of cold wind air pulled the hood from my head. 

The cool breeze air cast around my head, sending buzzes of shivers on my body. My head was fully exposed but within a second, Jaehyun covers the hood back to my head and he gently brushed off the patches of snow on my shoulder. "I know you're warm enough, birthday girl. But I think it's time for us to go back inside."

Jaehyun, with this kindest manner, catches my gaze with his warm smile. He slips his right arm to wrap around my shoulder, slowly taking off Taehyung's grip from my wrist. "Make sure to give me back my lighter, bro." He spoke to Taehyung, before leading the both of us back inside the cabin.

Meanwhile. Inside the room. Namjoon's POV. 

"I fucking swear, Jaehyun likes EunHa." Somi, which I believe spoke for the nth time. "Babe, you're drunk already. Can you please stop with the non-sense?" Jin, on the other hand, who is seated beside his girlfriend snuck a chip on his mouth. "Jaehyun's a great guy. He's just a friend towards EunHa, like us. Am I right, Namjoon?"
