Grant Jinx is the very famous son of Marcus Jinx, who is a very successful business man. However, Grant isn't like his father at all. His hobbies include seeing movies, playing video games, and mainly focusing on school work. Marcus's dream is to have Grant run on the family business. But once again, Grant isn't like Marcus. Grant is more of an extrovert. He's insecure, doesn't have any muscle and is extremely shy. He can't even flirt with a girl, non the less run a very important business. Grant looked down at his essay thinking about what he could tell his dad or if he should run away. He looked in the mirror with a saddened expression. His dad probably even forgot that today was his birthday. He sighed and looked at his black iPhone to read a text message from one of his friends as the device buzzed. "Happy 21st birthday man! Well have a special surprise for you! Meet us at the corner of Bronx and Tanin @10! -Alex" Grant rolled his eyes as he was thinking of what they could possibly have planned. He look at his watch to see it was already 9:30 PM. He groaned as he sat up from his desk chair where he spent all day doing homework and studying in. He grabbed his keys and his jacket and wallet and headed towards the corner. When he had arrived there, he was early. No one was there except a girl wearing a trench coat, fishnets and bright red high heels. He got out of the car curious to see what the gals face actually looked like. He neared toward her and suddenly her dark black hair flipped and she was now facing him. He blushes as he was astonished. She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.
"Can I help you?" she asked as she stared at him. She probably is creeped out that I kept staring at her, he thought, don't screw this one up Grant. He cleared his throat and spoke "H-hi um...I was only wanting to see what you looked like, you know, making sure you weren't a rapist, murderer, pedophile-" Grant continued to ramble until he was interrupted by a cute and soft giggle. "You're very funny, I like it." the strange girl smiled at him. Grant blushed deeply. "My name is Grant, what's yours?" he asked her cocking his head a bit. "Penelope" the name left from her red lips. "Lovely to meet you, Penelope." He smiled and looked down as he felt his stomach started having a nervous and almost sickening feeling. Is this what they mean by butterflies in your stomach? He thought. Penelope nodded "It's a pleasure meeting you too." She smiled and looked at the time on her phone and said sadly,"I have to leave for work now Grant, nice talking to you!" Penelope quickly ran off to work and Grant looked down as his conscious started shaming him. I'll never get a girlfriend if I continue to be like this, he thought. When he looked up his friends pulled up and Alex gave Grant a "bro-hug" His other friends smiled at him as Alex said "We're taking you to the strip club!" The guys cheered as Grant groaned on the inside. He didn't like the idea but at least this was a way to celebrate. Grant and Alex walked to the club as the rest of his friends followed and he took a seat with his friends at a table near the stage. He looked down and played on his phone tired and bored. He hated this and just wanted to get it over with already. As music started playing and a girl started walking towards the pole. Grant looked up at his phone to see the almost naked young woman. His guilty brain wanted to detach his eyes but his hormones refused. As the lady danced and did tricks on the pole, guys started throwing money on the stage and wolf whistling. Grants eyes squinted as he realized that she looked familiar, he looked closer and closer until finally his heart clenched at he realized who it was. Did his eyes deceive him? Was this some kind of prank? His eyes could only make out the name of one person. His eyes widened as he whispered the young ladies name.
"Penelope?"
