Finding the workers lounge was honestly way harder then it should have been. I found myself lost in this giant restaurant/mall with bright colors and random security drones, walking around holding flashlights, practically doing my job for me. I began to wonder whether I was actually even needed here.
I wasn't really familiar with the whole Fazbear franchise, though as a child, I do recall there being an old diner that my mom took me and my brother to for his 8th birthday, I was probably around 5 at the time.
It was really just nothing a faint memory to me if I was being honest, so I really didn't have much sentiment for these robots or this franchise whatsoever. I was more so just glad to have a job again..even if I had to get accustomed to how freakishly human looking these robots seemed to be.
It took me about five whole minutes just to get from one side of the room to the other, eyeing every and all doorways and other small rooms.
This place was insanely huge..too huge. It sort of gave me this weird overwhelming sense of dread of being lost for eternity.
After what seemed like forever, I finally spotted the doorway to my destination. It was an absurdly dull cream colored door, with the word 'EMPLOYEE AND STAFF PERSONNEL ONLY' written neatly across the front of it.
"Finally.." I sighed contently, pushing open the door with my shoulder, instinctively flickering on the light switch at the side of the door.
I had stepped inside, the door closing loudly behind me, yet the lights remained off.
"Uhm.." I kept my hand on the switch, flickering it up and down, before it the room then dimly lit up after my forth try.
Compared to out there, this place looked..very underwhelming.
I walked over to the grey lockers, listening to the hum of the white florescent light builds above my head, as I pulled out my identification keycard and swiped it across the dingy pad on the locker door.
As soon as the red bar on the pad changed to green, I could hear the clicking of the mechanism unlocking, and I pulled open the door, revealing the state of the inside of the locker.
I frowned, this thing looked like it had not been open in ages, especially when I grabbed ahold of the uniform that was lazily folded in there, and it was covered in a thin layer of dust.
"This is disgusting.." I huffed understand my breath, shaking out the clothing, before beginning to put them. The only plus side to this was that the clothes actually fit me. (Miraculously.)
Once I made sure that the dress shirt was tucked in just right and I adjusted the belt to the uniform pants, I fitted the hat neatly onto my head so none of my hair would stick out awkwardly.
"Huh," I looked to the side, seeing a small little rectangular mirror hung up besides a whiteboard calendar, seeing my own reflection, "I don't look that bad." I said with an optimistic grin.
I grabbed ahold of the flashlight from the locker before shutting the door and was quick to finish my coffee, before chucking the empty cup into the trashcan that was also in the room. I wondered if any of the robots were in charge of cleaning this place..if so, they weren't doing a very good job.
Before I turned to leave the small workers lounge, I couldn't help but notice a small pink sticky note that seemed to have fallen out of the locker when I opened it. I picked it up, reading it out loud.
"Keep an eye on chica..make sure she is located in her room no later then 4 am...kitchen..disturbances.." I tried my best to read out the rather sloppy writing, and was a bit confused when I got to the end.
Chica? That must be one of the performer robots here. But why on earth would there be any need for a security guard to maintain whereabouts on the robots..stage performing robots were not meant to move. That's why they were called stage performing robots.
Maybe the note was meant for some sort of technician. So I simply disregarded the note, thinking that it was an absurd thing to ponder about.
I was quick to make my way back outside of the workers lounge, closing the door behind me and looking back to the retro styled place that looked like some sort of liminal wonderland.
"Right then, just gotta walk around, make sure there's no creeps, bound to be easy enough." I said with a nod, starting to sort of march my way, going back and forth, but mostly, I was now exploring.
From the colorful signs, tables, chairs, and all sorts of other things you could imagine, nothing stood out more then the front stage.
I walked up to it, wondering why none of the robots were located here, but trying to imagine how a normal day show would be like.
Maybe it would be worth coming here during daylight hours and see what all the fuss about this place was about.
As I was about to turn and continue my walking, I couldn't help but feel like someone was watching me. Observing me.
It almost made me not wanna turn, but when I heard the noises that sounded like someone skipping around, I felt my heart skip a beat as I turned a bit frantically, looking everywhere.
Besides all the security bots and janitor bots, casually strolling around like it was nobodies business, there was no one else here.
"Alright..I'm sure it was nothing.." I said with a sigh, this place, although very aesthetically pleasing to the eye, was freakishly creepy when it wanted to be.
I kept my head down, flashlight in front of me as I began my awkward marching about again, wondering if I should head upstairs.
That's when I heard giggling.
"Oh hell no." I said loudly, immediately going the opposite way of the noise. I knew that it was technically my job to go and investigate, but every horror movie I've seen starts out this way.
I simply minded my business, walking all the way to these large glass walls, that upon further inspections, I realized they were windows.
I walked up to the first one, confused as to what it was suppose to be.
So I pressed my face gently against the glass, trying to see behind the curtain. From what I could make out, it looked like..some sort of dressing room.
"What..is this for..?" I asked myself, trying to see if I could make out if there was anyone (or anything) in there.
That's when I felt something grab ahold of my shoulder.
