"Stop lying!" says the doctor.
"I'm not fucking lying!" I scream "I haven't lied a single time in the entire time I've told this story."
"You are Carter."
I start laughing as if it's a joke. "No. My name is Lawrence Townley."
The doctor beckons a man to come over. "Show him the mirrors." I am pulled into the room two doors down. There I see. The mirrors tell no lies. Before me I see the sorrowful and angry face. The face of Carter Carrington. I will turn the frown upside down. Laughter. That's all that's left of me.
