"And this is where we record everything!" Renjun points to a series of doors in one hallway. You had just landed in Korea a few days ago and Renjun was quick to call you up and ask if you wanted a tour of the company building. It had been a couple of years since you were last in Korea and he wanted to show you everything that has changed. "I think WayV is recording right now, they have an album coming up," Renjun says. "We'll take a gamble to see any empty studios," Renjun leads you down the hall.

"Crazy to think I could have debuted if I stayed, huh?" You hummed quietly. You originally came to Korea with Renjun, actually, both of you with big plans to become idols but ultimately only one debuting. You were lucky enough to be featured on SM Rookies once but it was after you had made your decision, you thought that maybe the publicity would make it better but, no, it didn't. It was probably around 2018 when you decided to leave the company, after three long years of tireless training and nonstop mental breakdowns, you realized that idol life wasn't the thing for you and you left.

You were still paying back your dues though, which was just great. SM kept their chokehold over you even after you left, it would seem. Which was just a charm to pay alongside your schooling. You had taken up your studies again, taking up Linguistics as your major.

"Maybe, you could've been with Aespa probably," Renjun laughs. He knocks quietly on one of the doors and, after hearing no voices inside, he opens it and lets you in. "Oh, shoot, I'm sorry," Renjun quickly apologizes just as you walked in.

"Huh? Don't worry about it, it's just us," Kun reassures him. You looked in the recording booth and Yangyang waved at you. "Oh! It's (Y/N)! Long time no see, how's school?" He asks. You and Kun were never too close, but you often spoke to each other during Korean classes and it was nice to see him finally stabilize his debut.

"Good, good, I'm on break now and Renjun wouldn't leave me alone until I came to visit," you sat on one of the couches and sighed.

"Do you still sing?"

"From time to time, yeah," you shrugged. The door to the recording booth opened and Yangyang stuck his head out. He had a wide smile on his face, and it hadn't changed since trainee days, which you were certainly glad of. A lot of your other friends who had debuted seemed to go through drastic changes in front of the camera and you were afraid that Yangyang was one of them. You were glad that he still seemed the same as when you left.

"(Y/N)! It's been forever!" He spins and takes a seat between you and Renjun. "And you came right on time, I swear, Kun's working me to the bone," he exasperates.

"Not true, you're the one who dragged me out here," Kun rolls in the producer's chair.

"How have you all been doing? Aside from the album crunch?"

"Kun's producing more, opened a SoundCloud and everything," Yangyang says.

"Oh right! My friends told me, I followed you as soon as I heard," you nodded. "How about you?"
