CHAPTER 1

𝗫𝗜𝗔𝗢'𝗦 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘

BEEP BEEP BEEP-

I slammed my alarm off, and slowly got out of bed. I spent all of last night studying for this year's semester's finals, and didn't get much sleep.

"Ugh..." I yawned, searching through my clothes bins.

I lazily got dressed in our school's uniform. Just a plain white buttoned shirt with a red tie or ribbon, and an optional navy blue jacket to wear over it. I slipped my legs into the tight black pants, and then struggled to find an pair of matching socks.

I then picked up my backpack, stuffing today's homework inside, and a bunch of history and math books, cramping it in.

Afterwards, I dragged myself downstairs to the kitchen to find myself some breakfast. On the fridge was a small sticky note that said,

"𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚏𝚘𝚘𝚍 𝚒𝚜 𝚘𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚝𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎. 𝚈𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚍𝚊𝚍 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝙸 𝚠𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚋𝚎 𝚊𝚝 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚔 𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚍𝚊𝚢 𝚜𝚘 𝚖𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚜𝚞𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚕𝚘𝚌𝚔 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚍𝚘𝚘𝚛𝚜."

"Tch" I snatched it off the fridge and crumbled it up.
"They're always too busy."

I searched through the fridge and made myself a quick PB sandwich, and gobbled it up.

I then put on my shoes and walked out of the house after grabbing the keys.

I was still sleepy, and could barely keep my eyes open.

Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

Oh great.

"BOO!!" Hu Tao shouted, looming over me.

"..ugh..it's too early in the morning for this crap.." I sighed tiredly.

"Well someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today." She pouted, walking besides me. "Oh! That's right! I heard from Chongyun that we're getting a transfer student today!" She brought up the topic.

"I don't care." I muttered. "I don't get why someone's transferring to our school this late in the year. It's all just trouble for me."

"Whhhaaatt?? But don't you wanna know what their like?" She pestered me.
