Chapter 6 New Zealand Mission

After the exams, everything returned to normal for the students while Schicksal started planning on taking the four gems. Their first destination was New Zealand which is under the jurisdiction of Schicksal's Oceania Branch where the Gem of Desire will be found.

Soo-jin had just arrived to New Zealand, but he was separated from Kiana, Mei and Bronya for survey purposes.

"What do you see, Second Lieutenant Hwang Soo-jin?" Himeko asked

"Zombies. Whole lotta zombies." Soo-jin said, looking through them with a telescope

"Should I engage?" Soo-jin asked

"Do not engage yet. Wait for Kiana and the others for back up." Himeko said

"Aye, aye." Soo-jin said, taking a bite from an energy bar

"Are you eating?" Himeko asked

"... I've been here before sunrise for survey purposes. I haven't eaten yet and this isn't even enough." Soo-jin said

"I see. Ah, Kiana and the others arrived at your area. I'll go speak to them." Himeko said

"I told them about your location. They'll be in charge of the zombies while you remain to survey." Himeko said

"Okay." Soo-jin said

Soo-jin let out a heavy sigh

"What's wrong, Second Lieutenant Hwang Soo-jin?" Himeko asked

"I did better than them during the exam and I'm the Second Lieutenant and I'm here, scouting the area." Soo-jin said

"I haven't told you about the other location you said." Himeko said

"I can fight?" Soo-jin smiled

"Do what you want with them. I'll go talk to Kiana and the others again. But be sure to regroup with them." Himeko said

Soo-jin takes his sword and jumped out of the window of the house.

"Quick summary, the battleship isn't fully activated and the max output of Selene is 12000HW. To fully activate it, it would need the powers of four Herrschers." Soo-jin said

Suddenly, an arrow was coming at Soo-jin. Soo-jin kept walking towards the Templar, dodging the arrows coming from the archer type zombies.

"I guess it can't be helped now." Soo-jin grabs the hilt of his sword with a confident smile on his face

The Templar charged at Soo-jin and it's shield was broken with just one slash from Soo-jin's sword. The Templar thrusts it's lance towards Soo-jin, but Soo-jin grabbed and broke it before throwing his sword at the Templar's head.

After the Templar fell, Soo-jin went for the archer types.

"That's all of it. Now I have to regroup with Kiana and the others to where the sensor detected the Gem of Desire." Soo-jin said

Soo-jin walks to the destination and he regrouped with the three.

"Soo-jin, you're finally here." Bronya said

"Is this really the place? I don't see anything unusual. Perhaps the sensor malfunctioned." Mei asked

"Who knows... I don't really think something weird is in here." Soo-jin said

"Mei, wait." Bronya said

"What's the matter, Bronya?" Mei asked

"Bio-sensors detect vital readings fifty meters to the east." Bronya said

They all turn to their right and saw a girl on a wheelchair.

"What's a civilian doing here? This isn't a safe place." Soo-jin said
