The mortal heart is easily swayed. Lust can easily be mistaken for love, and love is just as easily taken advantage of. The divine of human emotions knows this more than anyone. He enjoys how easily they are manipulated, and the way he can make them want each other. And him for that matter, with the flick of his wrist leave the trail of broken hearts behind him. The attention was on him as much as he pleased. But some days he liked to go somewhere where the attention was on someone else. And that's where he met him.
The Moondust Club and bar. An outing for extravagant alternative people who could afford to get in. On this night the divine of love found himself bored in his regularly visited club. The people were the same, shaking around, spilling their drinks, and making out in corners. But on this eve Nix found himself lacking his usual flair. Of course, he was dressed to the T. A luxurious white leather jacket was sprawled on the seat next to him, and not a speck of dust was on his impeccable outfit. His manicured fingers curled around the stem of a cocktail glass. He took a tentative sip. Eyeing all the people in the club. None of them are interesting. The stage was filled with instruments yet was devoid of singers. A noisy rap song played over the loudspeakers numbing his mind and his ears. With a sigh, he had nearly given up hope for having an interesting night when the speakers fizzed and cracked in a way to make you cover your ears. Lights hovered to the once empty stage to land on 4 men taking place on stage. Each one is clad in a pink zip-up hoodie. The only difference was body type and hair color. The one with blue hair picked up the guitar and began strumming a tune that Nix hadn't heard since 2015 when it aired. Kids in the dark by All time low. An "emo" song by most people's standards. But the energy was different. The one that caught his attention was the man who walked up to the main mic. His purple hair swooshed in a fluffy, messy manner around his head. His forearms are clad with music note tattoos. He was attractive by any standards. But Nix seemed almost too mesmerized by the energy from his voice to be distracted by his looks. The kids in the dark, the kids in the dark
The kids in the dark, the kids in the dark...And the drummer began. It almost was so energetic you could see the music radiating off their instruments. But the melodic voice of the purple-haired one was all Nix could focus on. It seems he had found something interesting. Their music had the club bouncing. It was as if serotonin waves were seeping off their music.
They left us alone, the kids in the dark
To burn out forever, or light up a spark,
We come together, state of the art,
We'll never surrender the kids in the dark so let the world singThe bands playing died down and the crowd burst into applause. The purple-haired boy breathed heavily and smiled wide at his bandmates. At that moment security came up to the stage.
"Hey! You aren't supposed to be up here!!" the guard shouted. The boy smirked at his bandmates before turning to the mic and announcing.
"We're the Moon chasers! Tell your friends!"
Before energetically hopping off the stage and making a break for the exit. Over the clamor of the club, Nix could hear the blue-haired one shout "scatter" to the bandmates. Each one took off in different directions successfully evading the one security guard. The purple-haired one ran out of the emergency exit. Nix smirked to himself before setting down his glass and retrieving his jacket. He had found his entertainment for the night.
Behind the club, Marian caught his breath. Chuckling while clutching his side. the performance was a success. And he had gotten away. Mostly. He checked his phone. A message from David and Scott pinged blue on his phone."Where you end up man?"
"We're headed to Roman's place, meet you there if you don't get caught >:)"
Marian chuckled. He started in a sprint from the alley he was in before absentmindedly bumping into someone.
"Oh, my bad-." He started before realizing he ran into a strong, tattooed chest.
The smell of expensive perfume overwhelmed his senses as he looked up to face the man he ran into. The man sported a white leather jacket over a pink button-up and white dress pants. Everything about him screamed "I'm expensive and you can't afford me" and the man's pink and black hair stood in a well-put-together high ponytail.
"Well little darling, where are you running off to" the man's voice cooed, honey dripping from the syllables.
"Oh, sorry I was just leaving," Marian said shrugging his pink hoodie over his white t-shirt."Quite the performance in there." He said closing the space between him and Marian.
Marian took a step back.
"Uh, thanks I guess."
"I'm Nix, and who might you be lovely?" Nix asked sweetly taking Marian's hand in his.
Marian abruptly pulled his hand away.
"Marian, now sorry but I really need to leave."
Marian weaved around Nix but before he could leave, he pulled him by his wrist to his chest. Nix taking Marian's face in hand forced him to make eye contact. Marian could've sworn his eyes glowed pink as Nix said.
"Stay with me."
Marian stuttered and stumbled blinking rapidly before announcing"No thanks" quickly shoving Nix off him and running off.
Nix stumbling forward watching the purple-haired boy leave the alley in haste, before blinking like a cat in sunlight and announcing to himself loudly.
"Did he just REJECT me!?"
