A Hero, A Team, and a Story [BOOK ONE]

Prologue: Everyone Has A Tale.

It was the final battle. The 4 Valiant Heroes -- GingerBrave, Shrek, Black Hole, and Gary the Gadget Guy -- approached the ruins of what once was the Mater Tua Dynasty's Palace, weapons at the ready.

"We must proceed with caution, this is the most dangerous night of our lives," Gary spoke, "We can't mess this up."

"Mess up shmess up, we'll do fine!" GingerBrave said, his cookie arms behind his gingerbread head.

"You can't be sure, GB. The Dark Legion has probably prepared for this moment, just like we have." Black Hole sighed.

Suddenly, a tremor arose from the ground. The Dark Legion sprung up, -- Bowser, The Cake Witch, Evil Genie Casper, Neferpitou, Herbert P. Bear, and DJ Octavio -- as a giant Hulkbuster Mech followed suit.

"Whar har har! What do we have here, a gathering of prey for little old us?" Casper pointed towards our four heroes.

"Casper, don't get ahead of yourself. We just need their soul stones, which should be pretty easy with DJ Octavio's mech he built. Myeh heh heh." Neferpitou smiled. Their tail swayed.

"Let's just do this. With a mech AND an outnumbering team, this'll be a piece of cake." Bowser snarled.

The Valiant Heroes had gotten into a fighting stance. They ran up, and this was the start of the final battle... for good. Shrek charged first. He roared at Casper, who poofed out of existence instantly, and slashed the ground with his sword as a warning. Next came Black Hole, who used his suction to destabilize Bowser as he shot out a bomb. Then came GingerBrave, who dashed into Herbert and knocked him over, to whack him with a candy cane striped mallet. Finally, was Gary the Gadget Guy, healing the others with his 'Light of Life Lamp 3000.'

"Ngggh, they got everyone!" Neferpitou snarled, "...But we have a mech~! Cake Witch, boost me up! DJ Octavio, use the mech suit!"

DJ Octavio got in the HulkBuster and powered it up. The Cake Witch held both the mech and Neferpitou in its hands.

"Bahahahaha! Taste the flavour of darkness and defeat!" Octavio laughed as he moved the mech around. He jumped down and commanded, "HulkBuster, Cake Witch, THRASH THEM!!"

"You heard him, thrash their butts, Cakey~. Myeh heh heh." Neferpitou smiled. The machine and the giant monster attacked like there was no tomorrow. It was... the... end... of.. our heroes...
