After peter walks out of the meeting and a girl talks to peter , I couldn't help to over hear the conversation. I didn't pay too much attention to them because of respect... however there was one a sentence that made me freeze , the girl that Peter talked to said something with " you don't know a bloody thing about woman do you?" And I remember way before I got in the ice was one of my ..... close friend agent carter said the exact sentence to me , with the British accent and all .
When Bruce , tony and pepper walked up to them I walked to the back door . I may be captain America but I know where I should and shouldn't be , so I walk out to the kitchen to get them some privacy. I sit on the bar chair for a while until pepper and the girl walks in ,
- Hi Steve ! Pepper says while she walks over to the fridge .
- Hi Pepper . I smile and look over to the girl who by the puffy eyes I believed have cried a lot . I feel bad even tho I haven't done anything , I wonder how hard it is for peter then .
- I'm Steve Rogers, it's nice to meet you . I say to the girl and holds out my hand for her to shake.
The girl looks at me and my hand with a hesitation before she takes my hand.
- Y/n y/l/n . She says , when she takes my hand there is this shook that goes through my bones and I get a flashback.
I can see me and y/n running from a hydra base with a million of hydra soldiers chasing us through halls.
- We can't outrun them Steve . Y/n says and stop running, the soldiers are getting closer by ever second .
- Come on y/n . We don't have time for this I say to her before looking into her eyes which is filled with tears.
- Go y/n, I'll take care of them . Y/n says .
- No , not without you . I say and tear up .
- I'm sorry Steve , y/n with a sad smile .
- I'm gonna need a raincheck on that dance. Y/n continues.
- Alright , a week.... next Saturday at the stock club. I say with tears streaming down my cheek.
- You got it , y/n answers while looking behind her.
- Eight on the dot , don't dare be late .... Understood? I say while y/n looks back at me.
- Understood .y/n smiles and kisses my cheek before running towards the soldiers.
- Steve? . Pepper says .
I blink and I'm back at the compound again. Still holding y/n hand however I lose the grip as fast as I can.
- Are you okey Steve? Pepper says while walking to me.
- Yes I just need to do a thing , I answer pepper before running off to the meeting room looking for something that can get the answers to my questions.
I accidentally run into Natasha around a curb .
- Where are you going Captain ? Natasha asks with a smirk .
- To the meeting room and if you don't mind I have some things to get done. I say before walking away from Natasha and leaving her like a question mark.
I hurry into the meeting room which is locked , Tony probably locked it before leaving . I take out my avengers card and swipe it over the lock , the door opens up and I walk in . Back in the day we didn't have this kind of technology, so waking up from a 70 years coma wasn't the smartest . If I'm gonna be honest when I tried to land the plain over 70 years ago I didn't think I would wake up or even be alive , it was either me or New York .
I scan the room before I see a file on the table , I walk up to it and sees the name y/n y/l/n on the front . I starts to read it and everything makes sense now , no wonder I remember her .
- Captain, I would put that down if I were you. I can hear Tony say from the door .
I look up to my left and as I though there is Tony standing besides the door . I slowly put down the file again to not anger Tony , I mean he is a bit how a diva at times but his a nice pal .
- I'm sorry , I didn't get the chance to read it under the meeting . I utter while walking towards the door opening where Tony I standing like a hawk , just when I were about to leave the room Tony puts his right hand on my right shoulder still facing towards the room .
- Steve . Answers tony .
- Yes Tony? . I calmly add .
- If you read the file you probably know why we didn't want her to .... Join us , it's too much of a risk . Tony explains as I turn around facing him.
- I understand and respect your decisions but What if she is just the person that we need , I know her background isn't ... the best but of all people you would know that our past doesn't define who we are , does it tony? . These words just comes out of me like a wave of emotions and disbeliefs .
- I suppose you're not completely wrong there Steve , however it's your responsibility now to train her and make sure she doesn't repeat her his- . Tony stops as we both look over to the curb where a sound came from , we slowly walk up to the end of the wall and slowly turn to the side but no one were there .
- I should check on Peter , you know Steve teenagers and their problems . Tony says
- And I should check on y/n . I answer before walking towards the hall where the sound came from.
A lot of questions flies through my head like moths , what if y/n heard? , what if she knows that I know ? , what if she knows about her history?.
I look through the whole compound before heading towards the gym , and as I arrive to the gym there she is training like it was the end of earth . Beating the boxing bag until something inside her builds up and something green hits the bag and it flies through the air and hits the wall.
- impressive , I say as I watch her body panic of hearing my voice .
- You know it's not good to train with tens muscles . I comment before heading towards her.
