Into the past

Chapter 7, I know you and you know me .

Me and pepper made some food after Steve stormed out and just talked about life and what happened, I feel safe when I'm around pepper . I've always lived with my grandma so I haven't had a mother role model in my life until now , even tho me and pepper are not in any way related I still see her as a mother , she seems so caring and warm person . She gave me a room that had just a bed and a desk , she said that I could decorate it however I like .

- You can decorate it however you like . Pepper says while letting me sink in the new room in amazement.

I wasn't used by a room this big , it was a size of a whooping 420 sqft. However it was very empty , I was happy I could make my own home in this room . I started to plan how I wanted my new room to look . I decide to look for furniture for my room tomorrow but now I want to get my mind straight .... by training . I walk out of my bedroom towards the lift however to get to the lift I have to walk through the kitchen , and Peter might be there ...

As I walk to the kitchen I hear some similar voices it's peter and some woman with long orange hair . I panic when my eyes meet peters but I try to stay calm to not make the situation worse then it is , as they notice me they stop talking and I start to walk quite fast towards the hallway which would lead me to the lift .

I walk to the lift and press the button with a number 7 on it , it would lead me to peppers office . She told me right before she showed me my room, she said something with ;

- if you need any help with feeling more like home , my office is on the 7th floor . You walk 5 minutes to your right and you should see a glass door , and if you're lucky I'm there and you can just knock on the door . Pepper said to me and as I come back to reality the door to the lift opens . I follow the instructions that pepper gave me a while back and I continue to walk for a while until I see the glass door that she talked about , I was lucky she was doing some paperwork so I knocked on her door and hoped to not disturb her work .

- come in! Pepper says with concentration on the piles of papers on her desk , her eyes read every line on every page closely before flipping the page and continued to read .

I slowly open the door , to not accidentally brake it . These doors definitely costs more then a fortune .

- I'm sorry if I'm interrupting you in any way pepper , I tell pepper as I close the door behind me and walk up to her desk .

- No worries y/n , it's nice to have some brakes once in a while . Specially if you're the CIO of a successful company, pepper says and puts the paper to her side before putting her hands together and looking up at me with a motherly smile .

- I guess so . I look down and around her office , pepper I have some questions and I'm wondering if you might have the answers to them ? . I utterly say to pepper before she answers me .

- I'll try my best to answer them y/n but just remember that I might not be able to answer all of them because of legal reasons . Pepper tells me with a tone of disappointment.

- where is my stuff and why isn't them in my room ? Why were 4 adults and Peter talking about me without my consent? And Pepper why does every room I walk into fall deadly silence ? . I can start to feel my temper getting high so I take a deep breaths .

- We don't want to risk anything , there is a lot we don't know about you and before we figure out if you're a threat or not we have to talk about the whole situation first . I promise you y/n we won't talk about you in a bad way and I will see what I can do so you can be on the next meeting . Pepper says before writing down something on the computer and looking up to me again .
