After the big announcement yesterday, I could not still process into my mind that everything’s ain’t a dream. It’s the reality, the fact, I’ll just learn to accept it. I’m sitting in the car as we travel going to the Richardson’s mansion, much known as The White Mansion. I have been there before and it’s twice big as ours. Before the Richardson departed, they have invited me into a pool party for Stacy’s birthday, Felipe’s 12 years old niece. I sigh looking at the gift I have prepared for her. It’s just simple, a handcraft beads bag. I hope she’ll like it, first impression lasts.
After half an hour, we arrive at the mansion. The botanical garden’s huge. Different flowers decorated all around it, a long cemented pathway that ends at the main entrance door of the mansion. I open my window. I can smell the sweet scent of the cherry blossoms. I wonder where it comes from. I search my eyes and spot it in a far distance. It’s huge and all alone but it’s beautiful.
Robert, my driver, opens the door for me and I immediately spotted the Richardson welcoming me at the entrance of the door. I smile at them and receive one back, of course except for Lucas. I then recognize a new face. The girl sweetly smiling at me, she’s pretty and innocent. A blonde one. Maybe she’s Stacy. I glare at Lucas, he look mouth-watering in his black fitted speedo swimming shirt and cargo shorts, with sunglasses above his head. My gorgeuos! I bit my lip, he caught my eyes staring at him and I quickly look away.
“Margarett welcome to the White mansion.” Felipe greets me with a kiss on the forehead and Cassandra on my cheeks. “Thank you.” I reply discreetly.
“Hello! I’m Stacy.” The little girl introduces herself, still smiling.
“Hi! Happy birthday. I’m Margarett. This is for you.” I greet her giving her my gift.
Her eyes widen in shock. “Wow! Really for me?” she asks in disbelief.
“How did you it’s my birthday? I’ve never meet you before, oh wow! Felipe, the new member of the family is mind-reader.” She exclaims.
Felipe bursts in laughter.
“Thank you.” She says sweetly and shyly.
“All right, enough with that. Let’s go back to the party now, since the most awaited guest is already here.” Cassandra announces acidly with a fake smile in her face.
Felipe clears his throat and gives Cassandra a warning look.
We walk through the hallway. Entering the pool area, I can hear splashes of water, screaming, laughter, and music. Many people are on the poolside, either eating or dancing. A group of people about my age caught my attention. I thought this is kid’s party, why are there teenagers here? I study their faces and a woman did give me an electric volt of shock. What is she doing here? She’s wearing her red two piece in her perfectly hour glass body figure, with her fiery red hair glossing in the heat of the sun and her shinning tan colour. Amanda, my dearly cousin. The word dearly almost burns my mind. Our presence gets her attention. She pulls away her shades and tucks it in on her hair. She gives us her slutty-brief-dropping smile, showing us her perfect white teeth. She walks towards us, swaying her hips in rhythm in catwalk.
“Hello!” she greets us cheerfully, her smile widening. She looks at me.
“Hello Margarett.” Raising her one eyebrow and chuckles.
I frown. what's funny? I don't want to make a scene, dismissing my mind.
“Hi Amanda.” I greet her back, looking straight into her eyes. I never like this cousin of mine.
“You know each other?’ Cassandra asks looking at her then at me.
“Oh yes. My dear aunt. She’s my cousin in father side, my dad and hers are half-brothers.” To sweet just to give a reason.
