Percy pov:
Grover was leading me towards the Big House, where Mr. D apparently wanted to 'talk' to me. I didn't miss Grover's slip-up, where he mentioned our camp director wanted to 'kill' me. As we walked through the camp, they sky rumbled with thunder as dark clouds covered the valley. We arrived at the Big House, where Chiron and Mr. D were waiting for us.

They were playing against invisible opponents--two sets of cards hovering in the air.

"Well, well," Mr. D said without looking up. "Our little celebrity. "

I waited. . . . . . . . . .

"Come closer," Mr. D said. "And dont expect me to kowtow to you, mortal, just because old Barnacle-Beard is your father. "

A net of lightning flashed across the clouds. Thunder shook the windows of the house.

"Blah, blah, blah," Dionysus said.

Chiron feigned interest in his pinochle cards. Grover cowered by the railing, his hooves clopping back and forth.

"If I had my way," Dionysus said, "I would cause your molecules to erupt in flames. Wed sweep up the ashes and be done with a lot of trouble. But Chiron seems to feel this would be against my mission at this cursed camp: to keep you little brats safe from harm. "

'How did this place get stuck with a God like him?' I wondered

"Spontaneous combustion is a form of harm, Mr. D," Chiron put in.

"Nonsense," Dionysus said. "Boy wouldnt feel a thing. Nevertheless, Ive agreed to restrain myself Im thinking of turning you into a dolphin instead, sending you back to your father. "

"Mr. D—" Chiron warned.

"Oh, all right," Dionysus relented. "Theres one more option. But its deadly foolishness. " Dionysus rose, and the invisible players cards dropped to the table. "Im off to Olympus for the emergency meeting. If the boy is still here when I get back, Ill turn him into an Atlantic bottlenose. Do you understand? And Perseus Jackson, if youre at all smart, youll see thats a much more sensible choice than what Chiron feels you must do. "

Dionysus picked up a playing card, twisted it, and it became a plastic rectangle. A credit card? No. A security pass.

He raised his hands, about to snap his fingers when suddenly he stopped, his facial expressions turning dead serious. Chiron's face mimicked Mr. D's as lighting rained down on Camp Half-Blood

3rd pov:
All of Camp Half-Blood witnessed as streaks of lightning rained down on the valley, only to be stopped by the magical barriers of Thalia's Pine Tree. Chiron, Percy, Grover, Mr. D, and Annabeth, who had revealed herself, raced out of the Big House to the valley of the camp. It amazed Percy how fast Mr. D could move, given his current physique.

A crowd of demigods, satyrs, and nymphs had gathered, all brandishing weapons, staring at the display in front of them. They watched as bolts of lightning continued to rain from the sky, attempting to breach the camp's defenses.

"Zeus must want Percy dead more than we thought." Grover yelled over the roaring barrage.

"No. This is not the work of my father." Mr. D stated.

"It isn't?," Annabeth cried out, "Well then who else could be doing this?"

Mr. D and Chiron gave each other a glance, showing that they had an answer.

"Impossible," Chiron exclaimed, "They never involve themselves with Olympus unless required to. What would they want here?"

Mr. D gave a small glance at Percy who noticed

"Me?! Are you saying that lightning......... thing is after me?" Percy gaped.

Mr. D didn't respond. Instead he took a few steps forward, and spoke with a voice so loud it bellowed across the entire camp. "CEASE THIS ATTACK IMMEDIATELY! LET US SETTLE THIS WITH WORDS! I, DIONYSUS, AS THIS CAMPS' DIRECTOR GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO ENTER!"

All the campers stared at Mr. D in shock as the attack dissipated. At that exact moment, a burst of light appeared before the God. Campers moved to battle formations as a figure appeared. A teenage boy, no older than some of the campers, stepped out of the burst of light, wearing gold armor that resembled a lion.

Mr. D and Chiron, holding his bow, approached the armored stranger.

"It is rare for a Saint, especially a Gold Saint such as yourself to involve yourselves with demigods. Nevertheless I welcome you to Camp Half-Blood." Chiron greeted the stranger.

The Stranger nodded in return, then turned to Mr. D who began speaking, "Even a Gold Saint such as yourself would not be able to break through this camp's defenses, despite your power, however you Saints aren't that much idiotic, which means that attack wasn't meant to harm us, but rather to warn us. That being said you Saints would never involve yourselves with demigods or matters of Olympus of your own will, which means that that old owl-head is the one who sent you here. What is your business here Saint?"

The stranger spoke in return, "I have been sent here on a mission to find the Demigod child of Poseidon, Perseus Jackson."

Percy's eyes widened. He took a step back which did not go unnoticed by the Saint. He turned to him, "Are you Perseus Jackson, son of Poseidon?"

Percy stood up straight and faced the stranger, "Yes, I'm Percy Jackson. What do you want with me?"

The stranger turned to face Percy. He could feel an overwhelming aura of power coming from the stranger, making him nervous.

"Perseus Jackson, I am a Gold Saint. My name is Leo Augustus. By order of the Goddess Athena, I must take your life! PREPARE FOR DEATH!"
