[Y/N's apartment]

We returned from the college. I rushed to my room and closed the door from inside.

Mom looks at me weirdly and at last decided to knock the door.
As she knocks the door she finds it open and I was sitting on my bed and writing some notes in my notebook.

Mom: what are you doing Y/N? It is too late please go off to sleep.

Without looking up from my notebook

Y/N: I have an assignment mom...I will go off to sleep as soon as i finish it... you please don't worry and go to sleep.... btw is dad home?

Mom peeps out of the room and sees her room's lights on

Mom: yes seems so...why? You need his help?

Y/N: Yes actually I need to leave tomorrow a little early...so if he could drop me.

Mom: ok I will talk to him...you continue....good night.

Y/N: good night mom.

Mom leaves the room and shut the door from behind just then my phone rang.
I got distracted and cut the call.

The phone rings again. I again cut
the call...But when it rang the third time, I got irritated and picked it up. it was Irene.

Irene: What is wrong with you Y/N?
Why were you not taking my calls?

Y/N: Aaah...actually I was a little busy...tell me what it is?

Irene: Tomorrow's assignment is cancelled....you can report at the usual time.

Y/N: Ok, thanks good night.

Irene: Good Night....

[Irene's apartment]

Irene's POV

I kept the call and turned. Lisa was standing there behind me.

Irene: your work is done.

Lisa: good...very good.

Irene: now you do your work...give me those pictures.

Lisa looks a number of pictures and returns them back to me.

The pictures were of me and Y/N's brother Yoongi. I and Yoongi were colse friends a long time back and we took those pictures then but Lisa got a hand on them and blackmailed me to tell about these to my parents if I does not tell Y/N that the assignment is cancelled.

I looked at Lisa with anger. How can she!!?

Irene: you are so cheap Lisa. I can't even imagine...for you my friend is going to miss the most important assignment for tomorrow.

Lisa: Don't try to act smart and tell her all the truth as soon as I leave your house as i have taken the photographs of all the pics while u were talking....a single mistake you make and it is all lost for you...ok...bye...!

Lisa leaves from there while I kept looking at her. She's such a bitch.

Irene: I am really sorry Y/N... please forgive me.

[Next Morning]

Y/N's apartment:
Y/N's POV

I got up early and started getting ready for my college. Mom saw me getting ready and comes to my room.
Mom starts putting the blankets properly.

Mom: You told the assignment is cancelled today, then...

Y/N: I need to go to the library to collect a few books....

Mom: ok...I see...have breakfast and then go.

Y/N; no need mom...I will have it in the cafeteria...

Mom: Are you sure....?

I went out of my room.

Y/N: Yes mom...ok bye...

Mom kisses my forehead

Mom: Bye Y/N take care.

I smiled and left.

Mom sees me going and turns and locks the door from inside.

Dad was cleaning the front of the apartment as it was a part of his job.

He saw me coming out of the main gate.

Dad: what are you doing here?

Y/N: Need to go to the college early for the library.

Dad: ok...come I will drop you.

Y/N: No need I will go by the bus...ok dad bye.

Dad: Bye.

I left and went towards the bus-stop.
