"I really appreciate you for accepting my invitation Hal."

Hero said as we were walking down the street where the café was located. To much of his delight no one has recognized him yet which is pretty odd considering he's a well-known artist. I would assume its because of the fact that in this area of the city no one would have thought about seeing Hero walking around here. Which is good in a way because I don't want my face plastered on every news outlet there is.

"Of course, and thank you for inviting me." I said while giving him a small smile.

The rest of the walk was spent in a somewhat comfortable silence; with me taking in all the scenery's beauty and Hero doing the same thing. Its a silence that wasn't taxing at all to say the least considering I have only met the guy today and now he's taking me to get some coffee. I would normally decline such offer but I don't know what pushed me to agree so quickly. I don't want to appear as daft and easy because we all know what happens to someone with these set of qualities.

"We're here Hal."

It was no surprise that he took me to the Bean Box café, it was the go to coffee shop in this part of the city. I usually go here whenever I feel like I was all cooped up in my writing room. What sets this shop apart was its blue wooden window panes that frames the shop in a very unique way. The shops beside it are dull and and all of them seemed to agree that their furniture's must only be in the black and white color scheme. Well not the bean box, it has this Parisian vintage vibe that is very welcoming and warm. Mister Benedict Rowe along with his husband Christopher, have been running  the shop ever since I've moved here. I've gotten to know them quite well during the duration of my visit. They are both lovely and amazing people to talk to and the pastry that they bake are delicious. One time on my twenty first birthday I walked into the shop and they both surprised me with a blueberry cheesecake and a signed copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone. I would never forget that day, it was very special and heartwarming knowing that they both remembered my birthday even though they had busy schedules and what not.

As we entered the café the familiar scent of freshly ground beans and honey greeted us. Mister B was at the counter and he was eagerly waving at me while I also returned the favor. There were about six people inside the shop which meant the afternoon buzz hasn't started yet. Usually at around 1:30 the place would be packed with old gentlemen, people who were running late, the ones who were there for the free Wi-Fi, or just some group of teenagers. I usually go here alone and spend my time people watching or talking to mister B and Chris. That's why when I reached the counter mister B widened his eyes at the sight before him. I almost forgot that Hero was with me today and that made mister B a bit giddy when he saw me finally bringing someone along today and a boy for that matter.

"Hey Hallie nice seeing you here today and who is this?" he said through the biggest smile that was plastered on his face.

"Mister B this is my friend Hero. Hero this is mister B, he and his husband are the owners of this wonderful café." I said while looking back and forth at them. As always Hero extended his hand for a shake in which mister B excitedly accepted. He eyed me and wore an expression of "he's cute and I like him for you"  with that I just rolled my eyes at him jokingly.
