"How is your book?" Rowan asked his wife who slightly jumped up in surprise as her wide eyes turned to him.

"Great," Raven said breathlessly.

"Hmmm" Rowan hummed as he nodded.

"Mind if I join you?" Rowan asked as he pushed himself off the doorway he was leaning on while watching his wife.

Raven was going to protest at the request but was cut off by Rowan.

"I promise I will not peek neither will I disturb you," Rowan added as he approached his wife's seat. "In fact, I will be so good that you will not hear a single peep from me," Rowan whispered out in his wife's ears making Raven jerk away from him in surprise.

Raven was still a bit apprehensive about Rowan joining her, not because of what she was reading but because it was "her reading time" which she took very seriously. But the look on Rowan's face told her that he was not leaving.

"Okay." She grumbled out, "But no talking." She said sharply.

Rowan pretended to zip up his mouth earning a snort like laughter from Raven.

"Where are you going to sit?" Raven asked while looking around her small personal library that Rowan surprised her with during their fifth anniversary. It was a bit small since they both anticipated that only she would be using it so apart from the racks filled with books, her cushioned chair, and a light stand there was not much furniture and nowhere else for Rowan to seat.

Raven's eyes went wide when she saw Rowan sit down on the plush and fluffy carpets right in front of her chair. Seeing such a big man sitting on the floor made her giggle.

"What?" Rowan asked letting out an amused chuckle of his own.

"Nothing, you are just adorable," Raven said still giggling behind her book.

"Concentrate on your book," Rowan said, chuckling while flicking her bare legs making her tuck them under her body.

Concentration seemed to have disappeared from her mind as she could not focus on anything else but her husband who seemed way too comfortable on the floor. aven found herself staring at him more than once from the top of her book, stealing glances at his face that had gotten oh so mature over the years. The delicious tick in his jaw as he read something on his phone, his eyes narrowing so dangerously, his legs spread out as he leaned against the wall, the long exhale he let out as he removed his watch. Raven felt a familiar ache as flashes of what happened one night a few weeks ago, how those hands had held her down by her neck how they caressed her body leaving no place untouched, that tongue all over her and deep inside her and those eyes, oh, looking so deep into her soul as he was so deep inside her, feeling her squirm feeling her turn feeling her...

"Come." Rowan's voice wrenched her out of her daydream.

"What?" Raven asked clearing her throat at the sound of her desire-laden throat.

"You are a bit far. Come sit with me." Rowan explained. "Please." He added seeing his wife did not make a move.

"If you insist." Raven let out a sigh trying to pretend that she was not thrilled by her husband's request. She walked to him, very conscious of the wet feeling between her legs, she hoped that her husband would not notice it.

Rowan gently tugged her in between his legs, caging her between his arms and legs and tucking his head into his wife's neck not missing the almost silent whimper that the action drew out.

"Is this better?" Rowan whispered into his wife's ears loving the surprised gasp that came from her.

"You idiot!" Raven shrieked as she tried to get up only to find herself restrained by her husband who was laughing.

"What? I just asked if it was better? Is that question so insulting?" Rowan asked, mischief twinkling in his eyes.

Raven narrowed her eyes at him, "That is not what you meant!" She argued.

"Oh!" Rowan exclaimed in fake surprise. "And what did I mean dear wifey?" He asked, his voice dropping an octave lower making Raven swallow hard.

"I do not know! I am not in your mind am I?" Raven huffed as she turned back to her book to hide herself from her husband's eyes leaving Rowan in fits of laughter.
