TW: Swearing, Alcohol, Smut-ish stuff
Zak
I ran downstairs after getting the notification on my phone that my package had been delivered. I went to the front porch, grabbed it, and carried it inside. I took it to my room and then ripped it open. I carefully lifted it out of the box and held it up to myself. I looked in the mirror and grinned. I ordered a cat-maid dress.
I had ordered it last Sunday, and it had finally arrived. I took off my clothes and slipped the dress on over my head. I had never purchased a full dress before, and I kind of liked how it fit. I spun around in the mirror and noticed I had a tail poking out from the skirt. It had a little bow and bell on the end. I reached back over to the box and pulled out three other items in the box: fishnets, cat ears, and cat paws. I tossed the cat paws across my room, as it would be hard to handle alcohol wearing them. I slipped the fishnets on and put the cat ears on my head. I did a final look in the mirror. I shook my ass a bit and listened to the bell on the tail jingle. This was going to be perfect for this weekend.
Friday night, I drove over to Ant's house. I had the dress in my trunk, and I was going a bit early so I could look around and see the house. I pulled up to his house and parked near the curb. I walked up the driveway with the dress slung over my arm. Ants' house was nice, and flowers were lining the walkway up to the house. I didn't know Ant too well, but I've heard he's cool.
I knocked on the door and stood awkwardly before he opened the door.
"Hey, Zak! What's up?" He shook my hand and walked me inside.
"Thanks for inviting me to do this." I grinned, following him through the house.
"Here's the kitchen; this is where we're going to make drinks. Just come in here, tell us whatever they want, and then we'll give it to you so you can take it to them." I nodded and glanced around the kitchen.
"I think that's basically it. I mean, there's not much to really add." He said, looking at the drinks and then at the dress in my arms.
"Is there a place I can change?" I asked.
"Yeah, down the hallway to the right." He pointed towards the hallway.
I walked down the wall and into the bathroom. I put the dress on and put on eyeliner, like always. It always finishes the outfit. I looked at my nails and frowned at the chipped, blue nail polish. It didn't match the outfit, which annoyed me. Maybe Ant would have some black or white I could use.
I walked out of the bathroom and up to Ant.
"Woah, you look great!" I smiled.
"Thanks. I ordered it just for this occasion." I paused before glancing at Ant's nails. They were painted black.
"Do you have black nail polish I could borrow real quick? The blue with the outfit is annoying me." I muttered, setting the clothes I had been wearing earlier on a chair.
"Oh yeah, of course! I'll go grab it for you!"
He disappeared into the house, and I decided to look around at the many photos dotting the kitchen walls. There were some with his family, one with his boyfriend, and one with his friends. I looked closely at all the faces, seeing if I could recognize any. I froze at one in particular. It was Darryl, laughing with Ant.
Ant entered the room with the nail polish.
"You know Darryl?" I asked, turning to grab the nail polish from his hands. I started picking at the old color to get it off.
"Yeah! We are childhood best friends. We were actually at Daves party last weekend. I had him wear cat eats, and it was hilarious." He laughed as he grabbed some solo cups and set them out.
"Yeah. I saw him.." I said quietly as I started painting the black onto my nail.
I realized that I hadn't texted him. I had been putting it off for days.
I sighed as I finished my nails and handed the nail polish to Ant.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, just- Darryl gave me his number last weekend, and I haven't texted." I said as I waved my fingers around in the air, trying to dry them faster.
"Oh yeah. He keeps talking about how he hooked up with a.." He trailed off and stared at me.
My face got hot, and my hands flew up to cover my face.
"That was you?" He asked in surprise.
"Yeah, now shut up-" I muttered from behind my hands.
He removed my hands from my face.
"You need to talk to him. He's been talking about you every day."
I rubbed the back of my neck.
"I don't know. I don't know if I'm ready to talk about it." I whispered as I looked to the floor.
"It's your choice Zak, but if I was you, I'd try to find him tonight."
