house, practicing a new song. We write music, well I write most of the lyrics. I'm not that good with rhythm. I guess I just lost track of time. Time flies when you're having fun, right?" she responded awkwardly. We sat in silence for a minute while I tried to think of what to say "What sort of band are you's?" I ask, I'm enjoying her company, I don't usually like conversing with people, especially new people. "We're sort of punk, there's 3 of us-"

I zoned out. Not that she was boring me but in a way I was fascinated. fascinated by how she moved her hands around, how she blinked aggressively when she couldn't explain what she wanted to say, I was fascinated by her. I felt like the whole world stopped moving while she was talking.

"So yeah! We're not alike in some ways but we fit perfectly as a band, almost like a puzzle." I just sat there, I didn't really know what to say. "What?" she nervously chuckles. "Hm? Huh?" I snap back into reality. "You were staring" she bursts out laughing. Oh for fuck sake now she thinks I'm weird. "Oh my god, I'm so sorr-" before I could finish my sentence she cut me off. "Don't apologise, it's okay" she smiles at me. I feel my face burning up so I try to find my bottle of water.

THUMP. Only me, only me I tell you. I'm so flustered I bumped my head off the table. "Are you okay?" she asks, concerned.

"I'm okay don't worry"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah I'm fine" I'm still laughing, not a hundred percent sure why though
