my head really hurts. I take a sip of my water and sigh whilst rubbing my head. She takes this moment as an opportunity to hussle herself and her luggage over to the seat across from me. I noticed she's looking at me with her deep, sea green eyes. "Now who's staring?" I said, giving her a soft smile. "Sorry, just need to make sure you don't have a concussion."
We sat in silence the rest of the journey. Not an awkward one, it was actually nice, a comfortable silence. I couldn't help but sit and notice every little detail about her; Her dark brown, almost black hair with vibrant red streaks that comes just below her shoulders, smooth, olive toned skin, a butterfly tattoo on her wrist that was surrounded by beautiful dandelions. Everything about her was alluring as it was unknown. I'm not even interested in my book anymore, I've read hundreds of books but I don't think any of them would be as intriguing as this woman in front of me.
I want to ask for her number or even where she gets off but I don't know if she wants to begin a friendship or she just sees this as a one time conversation she has with a stranger on the train. I've never felt the desire for a friendship, however, I don't think I would be able to go home tonight and sleep knowing I will probably never have an interaction with her again if it wasn't just glancing at each other if we meet on this train again by some sort of coincidence and giving an awkward smile. I've come out of the trance that is purely her and her alone and realise that I have been staring. i'm not sure if she has noticed
