Kelsei had used some of his friend's clothing to go to school today. It was a bit big on him, but he didn't mind baggy clothes all that much. He and his friend walked to school together, talking on the way there. They weren't talking about anything, just small little conversations about anything. Music, friends, things happening at home, and pets. Kelsei didn't have a pet, but his mom said she would get him a kitten. He had wanted one for a while.
Things were nice. Until..
Zane showed up again.
How did he even find them?
"I could get you a puppy, Kelsei. Do you like pugs?" Zane asked, leaning down to get his face closer to the side of Kelsei's face.
"A.. A puppy? Sure.. Pugs are super cute..!" Kelsei moved his head away from Zane's, though he still had a smile on his face. He was more of a dog person than a cat person, anyway.
"Great. After school, we can go over to my house and I'll get you one."
"Helloooo? I'm still here." Kelsei's friend had pushed the two apart. It gave Kelsei somewhat of a relief that Zane wasn't so close to him anymore.
"Sorry.. But, yeah. See you after school, Zane." Kelsei began speed walking into the school and to get to class. He was going to avoid Zane all day until school's over.

And now school was over. It ended quicker than it started. Was the world trying to push him and Zane together? But why? Was he his soulmate? He doubted it, they were so alike. Well, sort of. But, your soulmate was always someone who wasn't alike to you at all. So why was the world trying to force them together? Was it trying to tell Kelsei something?
Zane met up with Kelsei outside of the school doors. They walked to his house, where Zane got his money. Then they both left for the mall, Zane holding Kelsei's hand the whole way there. It was a bit uncomfortable knowing his reason now for the hand holding and all the touchiness.. But he didn't mind. It made him feel sort of special.
As soon as they got to the mall, Zane immediately dragged him to the pet store. It wasn't an aggressive drag, but Kelsei was being dragged. Very.. gently? Could Zane give good piggyback rides? He probably could.. Kelsei should ask.
"Go pick your puppy, I'll pay." Zane said with a small smile. Of course he would pay, why else would he have gotten his money from home? It was his life savings, but he'd definitely spend it on Kelsei.
"Okay..! Thank you so much!" Kelsei smiled back and ran into the pet store. He was looking for the PERFECT pug. The one who was looking for him. If Zane was wanting a kiss.. He might get one because of this. This was one of the best things anyone has done to him. Well.. any friend.
But.. Keyword. MIGHT.
It took a while, but Kelsei finally found him. The pug he'd keep with him forever. He was the cutest puppy ever. Kelsei picked the pug out of the litter and took it over to Zane. He had the biggest smile he had ever had before.
"This one! Let's go pay for him!"
"You sure you wanna pay right now? Maybe get a few things for him." Zane wanted to spend all his money on Kelsei. He could get more from his boss anyway, so it didn't matter much to him.
"Really..? Okay..!"
And off Kelsei went to get toys, food, and maybe some clothing for the pug. The pug would be the most well treated and well dressed dog in the whole world! Kelsei just knew it, because he got him outfits that matched his own! Then he went back to Zane, showed him the things he wanted, and they went to pay.
After Zane had paid, the two males walked around the mall for a little while longer. They got matching outfits, matching shoes, and a ton of snacks! As soon as they both ran out of money, they walked back to Zane's house.

"You should ask your parents if you can stay over. It'd be fun." Zane suggested, unlocking his house door and going inside. Kelsei followed behind him and thought about what Zane said for a second. Should he? Dexter, his pug, seemed to like Zane, so it would be fun.
"Okay! Lemme call them real quick!" Kelsei smiled and took his phone out. He called his mom, and they talked for a little bit. Then Kelsei hung up after saying bye and nodded his head to Zane. "I can stay over, as long as I call them every hour so they know I'm okay."
Zane scoffed. That rule was boring to him. But he could definitely do something about it. "That's fine. Just tell me when you have to call them." Zane ruffled Kelsei's hair with a grin. He was going to have fun with this.
"Ah.. Okay. So.. what do you want to do?" Kelsei pushed Zane's hand off of his head. Not that he didn't like the pets, it was just a little awkward to him. Maybe if he knew that Zane wanted to just be friends, it wouldn't be awkward. But he was starting to.. Sort of like Zane. He was sweet and.. Kind of attractive.
"Well, I kinda do want an answer to what I asked you yesterday night. So give me a chance, will you? It'll be worth it." Zane sounded like he was just begging Kelsei. Kelsei didn't want to seem mean.. So he decided on his answer.
"Okay.. I'll.. We.. We can date. Just, please treat me right, okay? I'm only giving you one chance." Kelsei would realize he would soon regret this decision. He just never saw it coming, no matter how many red flags there were.
"Great!" Zane smiled and pulled Kelsei close to him. The pug had already left to explore other rooms, so Kelsei and Zane were all by themselves. "So, you wanna do something fun or not?"
"Ehh.. It depends on what your definition of 'fun' is. We aren't doing what you're thinking of. So don't even try it." Kelsei rolled his eyes, putting his hand up to block Zane's face. He knew Zane was thinking of something dirty, and he was just too young to do something like that. They weren't even married yet!
"Aw.. C'mon.. I wasn't even thinking of that! You probably were, huh? No need to play rough, Bun Bun."
Now THAT was out of the blue. Did Zane just call him 'Bun Bun'? But why? Kelsei was nothing like a bunny! Did he call him that because he was tiny? Offensive. But bunnies are super cute.. So maybe that's why he called him that.
"E-Eh?! Bun Bun?!" Kelsei's face flushed from the slightly offensive but cute nickname. Right.. Should he give Zane a nickname? He wasn't sure what to call him though, he was never good about nicknames.
"Okay.. if I'm.. Bun Bun, then you're just.. Z." Kelsei moved his hand and smiled. That worked. It was short and sweet! Hopefully Zane was okay with it.
"Sure! That's fine. Now then, let's watch a movie."
"Alright!"

Tonight was going to be a long night.
