I woke up panting and covered in sweat due to a certain green eyed man in my dreams.
The clock on my bedside table read 4:35 am. I groaned as I buried my head in my pillows trying to keep the image of those captivating green eyes and devilishly sexy smirk out of my head. It was stupid. Men as handsome and rich as Nicholai don't go after boring, mousy not to mention plain women like me.
Still I wonder what it would be like to spend a night with Nicholai. A real man. Oh god maybe Emma is right. I need to get laid.
Emma!
I quickly sat up and rummaged through my bag to find my phone. I've been so occupied with Lucca and Nicholai I totally forgot we were suppose to go out.
"Aha!" I said as my fingers encased around my phone. Pulling it out I quickly dialed Emma's number.
"Hellooo..." I breathed a sigh of relief as I heard Emma's voice.
"Emma, I am so sor-"
"Gotcha! I can't come to the phone right now but feel free to leave a message. Oh and if you happen to be Anna, I can't believe you ditched us! Those double chocolate chip cookies better be good cause that's the only way I'm ever speaking to you ever again!"
Beep!
Rolling my eyes I plopped back down on my bed.
Typical Emma. Always blunt yet forgiving.
Going back under my covers I felt myself drift back to sleep.

Blinking my eyes open I looked at the plain white walls of my bedroom apartment when suddenly Bubs my golden retriever paddled into the room.
"Good morning, baby" I yawned scratching his head as he climbed on top of the bed.
"Do you wanna go to the cafe with me today?" I laughed as he licked my face and started barking
"Okay okay! Off to the cafe we go then"
Getting out of bed I made my way to the bathroom and into the shower.
Putting on a brown top and slacks I grabbed my purse and Bubs' leash tying it around him as we made our way to the cafe.
The bells on the cafe dinged as I opened the door. By then Bubs was going around in circles around me. Having him over the cafe was not new in fact he was here most of the time. The costumers love him, especially the children.
Bubs was given to me by one of my foster father's back when I was a kid. He's the closest thing I have to a family.
Untying his leash I watched as he ran around the cafe, sliding on the wooden floors before plopping himself on his cushion at the corner of the cafe.
I had about an hour before the cafe was due to open and so tying the apron to my waist I made made my way over to the coffee machine to have the coffee going then I gathered the ingredients for my salvation. Those damn double chocolate chip cookies.
An hour and fifteen minutes later, I had 2 dozens of chocolate chip cookies set in a box for Julie and Emma, a batch of croissants cooling by the counter, 3 kinds of muffins plus waffle and pancake batters all ready for the morning rush hour.
"Come on, Bubs . Time to meet those hungry costumers of ours" I said as I flipped the sign of the cafe to Open.

The day went on surprisingly well. Emma and Julie demanded to know the reason behind my absence. After telling them the story twice they finally left me alone and accepted my apology saying it was only because I had a close encounter with "Mr Green eyed sex on legs" as Julie likes to call him.
I stayed cooped up in my office for the rest of the day coming up with ideas for the upcoming birthday of Mrs. Smith's son, Bryan. However most of the time I find myself thinking of Lucca and Nicholai.
Needing a break I walked out of the office to find Julie getting ready to leave and Andrew getting ready for his shift.
Grabbing a red velvet off the case I waved goodbye to Julie as I sat in front of the register with Bubs wagging his tail beside me.
"Anna, I'm going to the grocery. We're running low on flour and sugar. Do you need anything?" Emma asked appearing in front of me
"No, I'm fine. Wait! On second thought can you buy some more strawberries? I'm thinking of serving yogurt tomorrow" I said handing her some money.
Nodding her head she bent down to pet Bub's head before walking out the door.
"Andrew, do you mind moving those boxes of milk from the kitchen? It's blocking the pathway"
"Already on it, boss" Andrew said giving me a salute before disappearing behind the door.
I heard the bell ding signaling a costumer had walked in just as Bubs decided to jump on the half eaten cupcake on my hand causing the cupcake to fall onto my shirt.
"Bubs! Look at what you did" I said grabbing some table napkins and rubbing the frosting off my top.
"Ehem" the smell of cinnamon and mint entered my senses making me slow down my actions.
"Yes? I'm sorry can you give me a second?" Without looking up I rubbed furiously at the stain on my chest.
Great! Just great!
Sucking it up I turned to the costumer I front of me.
"Yes what would you li-"
I looked up only have my mouth drop open as I stared into those mesmerizing green eyes from last night.
"Nicholai" I breathed.
