I woke up to the sound of knocking on my front door. My eyes shoot open and I pull the gun from under my pillow. I wrap the blanket over my body and put the gun up against the door aiming the best I could for the head. And I know me, I wouldn't miss.

"Come on Selly, put the gun away" I hear behind the door. I roll my eyes and open the door to see Jason standing there with two coffees in his hand.

"I know your my partner, but I can't stand you sometimes." I move to the side so he can come inside.

"Well, if that's how you really feel I guess I'll take these and just go to the warehouse" he turns around and i pull his arm back inside.

"Yeah that's what I thought" he laughs as he shuts the door behind him.

"Sit, give me a minute to get myself together" I say rushing back into my room to get dressed. I pull out a black turtle neck and black lightly ripped jeans. I go to the closet and grab a leather jacket and my docs. I run into my bathroom, brush my teeth and hair. I quickly curl random pieces of my hair to give it some life and make my way over to Jason. I open the door and he examines my outfit with some despise.

"Would it kill you to add color to your wardrobe?" He asks assessing my outfit. I never liked color in my outfits. I felt invisible in black, not sure how that works but I feel like no one is looking at me. Like I'm blending in by standing out.

"I'd rather go blind" I respond putting my gun into my waistband. I grab the coffee that he left for me on my side table and take a sip. "Ugh, you just get me" I give him a light kiss on the head and continue to drink.

"So, we've gotta talk about yesterday."

I knew it was coming. Jason won't admit it but he loves me like a sister and worries about me a little too much even though he knows I am practically a skilled assassin.

"Let's, someone wants me dead. But until we can investigate there isn't much use in dwelling on it" I take another sip. I was right. Until we can figure out where to start looking, there wasn't anything more for us to do other than our jobs.

"You are so calm, doesn't it make you nervous that someone most likely saw you kill Robbie? Now they can tie your face to a crime."

"We've never been caught before..and if they did see me. I'm gunna rip their eyes clean out the socket" I explain calmly.

"You scare me kid" he laughs and takes a sip of coffee.

"Alright, this tea party was great and all but let's go. Duty calls" I grab my bag and keys getting ready to leave.

"Fuck. I forgot I'm supposed to get Midas some files from another warehouse" he says putting his hand to his head mad that he forgot.

"Oh no, absolutely not. I think I'll walk today" I tell him. Going to other warehouses just sucked. The way other teams look at us, it just makes me want to rip their heads off. The jealousy is real and I know it's a personal problem but the rage I feel? I can't just shut my mouth.

"Do you really think walking out in the open is a good idea? We don't know if someone is trying to kill you or not" he tried to explain to me but I just don't care.

"Ahh it'll be fun! You know I've always been a good tease" I laugh as we walk out my apartment and I lock the door.

"Is that her?"

I stare into the binoculars. She stood with her shoulders back, boasting of confidence. See, I knew what was coming next, Robbie on the other hand didn't. It's a shame to see him go, but his sacrifice isn't in vain. We are the Cobras. All around New York City, our best men were dropping dead. Clean without a single trace of evidence and it just seemed impossible. Until one day we learned that our rivals, Venom, had an elite squad that not many knew of. Thankfully for us, there is a rat in their organization. Or should we say, snake.
