Chapter Ten

Third Person's POV,

The bright sun rays illuminated the whole room. The sharp bright light hit her closed eyes, waking her up from sleep. Her eyes opened slowly and she woke up but still sleepiness was under her eyes. She yawned and hummed again and went back to sleep when she felt something snuggled in her neck. It was something warm and comfortable.

She tried to stir in her sleep but felt a strong grip around her waist to stop her movement. She opened her eyes immediately and saw herself hugging him.

Zain's face was buried in her neck. Her eyes widened while her heartbeat accelerated seeing him so close to her.

How did I come here?

The first thought came into her mind.

She slightly pushed his arms but he snuggled more into her and nuzzled his nose on her neck making her gasp.

She again tried to free herself and tried to get up but he pulled her more.

"Don't even think about it, princess. " He whispered on her neck and kissed her neck softly which made her heart thumping wildly.

"How did I come here?" She asked.

"You were dying to sleep in my arms so you came here. " He said playfully.

"Such a liar you are. I know you are the one who is dying from inside to talk to me."

He pulled back and looked at her.

"I love you." He said, staring at her eyes directly. And she could see his love for her reflecting in his eyes.

"And I'm sorry, I shouldn't have yelled at you." He continued and she didn't say anything. She averted her eyes and wriggled in his arms.

"I'm not letting you go before we talk about this ok. " He said firmly while tucking a few hair strands behind her ears.

"The choice is yours." He said in a low voice near her ear.

"You want to talk?" She asked, controlling her anger.

"Yes."

"But I'm not interested in talking to you like this."

"And I won't mind having you in my arms like this for eternity. "

"Ugh! Why are you so irritating?" She asked in frustration.

"And why are you so stubborn?" He asked.

"Then don't talk to me. " She turned her face to the other side, showing her anger.

"Okay. " Saying he buried his face on her neck and she could see he was again planning to doze off.

"Aren't you getting late for your office?" She asked.

"It's the privilege of the boss. No one asks you why you came late." He said.

"So are we on talking terms now?" He asked her as he moved back.

"Yes." She said with a sigh as she couldn't take so much proximity between them. She could feel butterflies dancing inside her stomach wildly and her heartbeat increased.

"Good girl." He patted her cheek and pulled away from her.

Did he just insult me? She thought

"Oh my God! What's that?" She gasped and pointed her hands to the door and Zain looked in the direction where she pointed.

Taking the opportunity she slipped from his arms and got off the bed. Quickly taking out her clothes from the cupboard she went to the washroom and closed the door.

"Adaa, this is cheating. Come out right now. " Zain said loudly and raked his hands in his messy hair making it messier.

Adaa stepped out of the washroom and sighed happily so as not to see him around the room.

She stood in front of the mirror and put bangles on her both hands. Then she moved to apply kohl under her eyes and at last, she combed her hair.

She was startled when two arms wrapped around her waist. She looked and saw his reflection in the mirror.

In baby pink Anarkali with white dupatta which had golden embroidery at the border of the dupatta giving a beautiful combination to her dress.

"You... What are you doing, leave me?" She said and tried to unwrap his arms around her.

"Princess.. stop struggling. " He said and snuggled his face on her neck.

He traced the edge of her neckline with the tip of his nose sending shivering in her body. She closed her eyes to control what she was feeling and tried to control her heartbeat which always increased when he was around her.

Stupid heart!

"You smell so good." He whispered and his lips were touching her neck. He pressed his lips on her neck and kissed her neck. She shivered under his touch.

"Lea-ve me." She said as she opened her eyes.

"Why did you do that? I was talking to you, right?" With one swift motion, he spun her around through her waist so that her hands automatically went to his chest.

He pulled her closer placing his both hands on either side of her waist firmly and in a possessive way.

"It's not my m-y fa-ult that you get distracted so easily." She stammered looking at him whose breath was burning her face.

"Don't do that again when I'm talking to you. " He said more like ordering her and caressed her soft fluffy white cheeks with the back of his hand.

She frowned.

"Why? Why will I listen to you? Who are you that I should listen to? Just stop behaving like a control freak! you don't have that much right on me." She said stubbornly and wriggled to free from his grip.

"Stop giving yourself so much importance. You are nobody to me whose order I will follow and obey. "

Her movements stopped when she felt his grip on her waist tighten, she looked and she saw his expression change from soft to hard.

She could see anger bubbling in his eyes and she started to fear him. Unknowingly she pushed his buttons and she doesn't know what her mistake will lead her now.

"Leave me." With courage and beating heart she tried to be brave in front of him but her cracked voice betrayed her.

"What if I don't?" He said through his clenched teeth and his jaws were tightened which clearly shows that he is trying to control his anger. Their faces were merely one or two inches away. She could feel his breath fanning over her face.

She felt like a deer caught in headlights. Her heartbeat was getting fast now. His whole demeanour changed suddenly and now was screaming of anger, rage and she knows how much deep trouble she is in right now.

All she wanted right now was that the earth gets apart and engulfed her and saved her from this deadly handsome beast who was giving her his dangerous look.

She felt like she was standing in a lion's den. And she is his prey.
