SOMETHING ABOUT WINTER BROUGHT COMFORT TO JASON. He never could understand it or explain why. Just the feeling of it felt right for him and allowed him to relax. Perhaps it was because he could have an excuse not to get out of bed in the morning. Or it was just because it called back to the night he lost it all. Remember how the wet snow clung to his knees as he watched the giant kill his father right in front of him.

Something about this weather and that night gave him comfort. Like his father was standing over him, helping him through the sleepless nights. As well as ushering him into this lifestyle that he had made for himself after the Blip. Want to keep the world on track after the five years half the population have missed.

"Fancy seeing you here." The sound of footsteps approaching behind Jason had him looking over his shoulder. Finding none other than Spider-Man, having gotten the decoded message and deciphered it.

But his colleague was only met by the glowing white lenses of his helmet. Both bat ears stood tall on the top of the helmet. It is a sleek red helmet made out of composite metal foam. Along with the rest of his suit made of the same material. Utility belt around his waist with multiple gadgets created by the Precursor. But in the centre of his chest piece sat a large red bat symbol.

"You got the message," Jason said. "Now, we just have to wait for our final man."

"May I ask who that is?" Spider-Man inquired. "Just so I can start coming up with team names."

The men in tights sat down on the edge of the building. It overlooked a shipping yard on the Upper West Side of New York. Boat's have been coming in and out of the place frequently, crates being transported. Jason doesn't know how many nights he's spent just watching. Taking note of every little detail that he could keep in mind. Watching the usual patrol routes taken by the criminals and how many go inside one of the warehouses at a time. All of it was stored in Jason's mind for the moment he decided to strike.

"Daredevil," Jason replied. "Got him to come help since it's close to Hell's Kitchen."

"So, what?" Spider-Man chuckled. "It's his turf or something?"

A laugh came from the Precursor as he shrugged. "I suppose so."

"What even did you call me here for?" Spider-Man asked. "I mean, I get the whole wanting to clean up the streets, but why this place? I've patrolled down here and I've seen nothing."
