she strolled down the crowded halls with her hood over her head. it was finally the first day back since their summer break and Kamora was now a sophomore in college. it was fun to imagine she was halfway done with the hell, but she thought it was still too long of a wait.
everyone knew about her overdosing because it happened the week before they went on summer break. she stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks before transferring to a rehab for 2 months.
Kamora couldn't keep her mind off the man who dropped her off at home last night. last night was a blur but somehow she remembered every detail about him. how he saved her from beating Floch's ass to how his hands gripped her waist. how his dick felt in them tight ass jean's he wore. but most of all, his smile was nostalgic. that smile had so much happiness behind it.
it had been 2 days since the party and she thought hard and long about when she wanted to call her up. Kamora knew Yelena and Oyankopon would always have her back when it comes to shit, but free weed is what she couldn't pass.
she entered her class, going straight to the back. Kamora swung her backpack off her shoulder, carefully placing it on the floor. there wasn't many people in the class but everyone was staring. just then, Tiana entered the class.
"the fuck y'all staring at?" she spat, making everyone turn their head towards the front again. "damn..."
"hey Tee. thank you." Kamora mumbled.
"no problem, you my girl." Tiana said.
eventually, the english class had gotten more crowded. the jocks laughed and talk amongst each other as Kamora narrowed her eyes at one person. Floch...
"his ass is stupid, he had to retake this class." Tiana said with a small laugh.
Kamora sighed. "that's what his ass gets."
they heard a man clear his throat and everyone looked up to the front to see Professor Ackerman. he stood at 5'3 and was very handsome. he looked young but not too young. he looked about 28. every fast girl in the class squealed while Tiana and Kamora looked at each other, rolling their eyes.
"i am Professor Ackerman and i'll be your english teach for the year." he spoke. "now since most of you all are sophomores so a lot of you may be strangers. i want everyone to come up and introduce yourself. i want you to tell me one thing you like about yourself and what you did over the summer." he explained.
Kamora's heart dropped. her anxiety increased and Tiana took notice of it. people began to go up to the front, explaining their summers and themselves. Kamora got terrified when a person went back to their seats, in fear that she would be next.
"Kamora Lee."
her heart beat quickened. "ca-can i like skip-."
"no. come up immediately." he spoke.
"ho-how are you gonna make s-someone come up-shit." she stuttered, making her cuss under her breath in embarrassment.
"just go up there, porky pig." Floch said with a laugh.
his laugh was interrupted by a bang. "enough. Lee, come up now."
