It started with a ping

Chapter 3

Gooby woke up as his alarm blasted violently across his bedroom. The sun hasn't risen yet but gooby got up anyway feeling more agitated then usual. It had been 9 months since the Submissiveman sever had been created and the community was flourishing. Apart from stix. Gooby didn't know why but he had an unfathomable hatred towards them, every time they were online gooby would have to sit down and take a breather and the two had had multiple times out for their violent threats towards each other over time.
Gooby reached over and took two scent blockers that were left out on his bedside table. The alpha didn't need to take scent blockers but chose too anyway to not come across too intimidating. They stretched their legs and climbed out of bed, hunching over as the cold morning air consumed their body relentlessly.

Gooby picked up a T-shirt off the floor and smelled it, the fabric wasn't too smelly so he placed it on and found some trousers thrown across his desk chair messily. Combing through their dirty blonde hair gooby hummed to himself ready to start the day, they were meant to be meeting up with hollyhock, Adele and volante later that day and gooby was beyond ecstatic.

After taking a raw potato and eating it on the bus gooby arrived in the middle of Ireland and saw hollyhock waiting for him happy.
"Hii" they both yelled, running towards each other to meet in a friendly embrace. The two giggled madly but hollyhock struggled to reach up to hug goobys tall 6'5 stature. The two laughed and conversed freely at the bus station until they saw another bus approaching rapidly.

In the top window of the double decker bus gooby could see his childhood best friend volante standing up with his hands in the air, although tue bus was twisting and turning at rapid speed volante stood really still. The bus came to a halt and gooby smiled and waited excitedly, clutching hollyhocks arm as they waited for the two friends to exit the bus.

As volante and Adele stepped down onto the pavement the four friends gave each other a tight embrace and laughed freely as chatter immediately began between them all.
The group walked around with no destination just enjoying the company  of one another before settling on a patch of dry grass to continue their conversations.

"I heard Submissiveman wants us all to meet up next month" gooby spoke up, reciting what he had read the previous day, he was hoping one of the others had more news since gooby had to log off after seeing stix was online.
Adele just shrugged and picked the poo from under his nails before volante spoke up through a mouthful of fruit juice they had purchased while walking.
"Yeah! She has booked us all a villa for February!" Volante spoke excitedly, bouncing where she was sat and smiling excitedly.

Hollyhock laughed at their friends antics and nodded despite not being part of Submissivemanserver but wanting to be included anyway.
Adele laughed too and began rambling about all the plans the server had already discussed and arranged for the next month but gooby couldn't focus on the worlds, only one thing at the front of his mind.

"Is Stix gonna be there?" Gooby asked nervously, completely cutting off whatever Adele was saying previously and looking at the others nervously.

"Oh I hope so!" Adele cheered, raising his hands and clapping excitedly at the thought of meeting everyone including stix.

Goobys face dropped and he stared at Adele with a snarl and stood up to full height, puffing their chest out angrily and walking the short distance to Adele.
The weaker man let out a distressed scent alerting hollyhock and volante but it only fuelled goobys anger more as they began kicking Adele and caving all his bones in.  

Adele screamed in pain as the strong alpha attacked him relentlessly before going complexly silent and falling still. Goobys chest heaved as he turned around, body shaking and twitching unnaturally

"I hate Stix" he whispered, wiping a splatter of blood that had squirted onto his lip off with the back of their shaking palm. Gooby looked down to see hollyhock crying and whimpering at the sight of Adele's mangled body and gooby squatted to comfort the other alpha.
"I'm sorry you had to see that" gooby whispered, helping hollyhock stand "I just really hate Stix..."

The two picked up their picnic items and began preparing to leave, they had successfully made it across the busy road they were settled on and turned around to call volante after them. Gooby stared back at the pair, volante had crawled over and was now eating the flesh off of Adele's leg with his bare teeth and was heaving and shaking like a blender.

An aggressive tug was felt on gooby sleeve and he turned to see hollyhock implying they should leave so the two continued to walk away.
"Is it true about the Submissivemanzone meet-up?" Gooby asked, now wanting to know more about what was said.

Hollyhock let out a small huff and nodded, looking for the reaction in gooby stern expression. They took a deep breath in and began to speak "look, pubey, I think you should go it would be-"

Gooby waved a single hand up dismissively before placing their palm flat to their fourhead
"how are they even paying for all this?!" Gooby spoke, shocked at how well everything had been organised.

"Spicyhummus is paying, she's so hot and rich too" hollyhock sighed, staring into tue distance dreamily, hollyhock had a huge crush on hummus but wouldn't say anything in fear of getting the muffle of hummus and Submissiveman.

Gooby sighed and leaned his head back to look upwards, strands of their Adele blooded hair falling backwards and being ruffled lightly by the light wind.
"I guess it would be rude not to go" he said after a while, rubbing strong hands down his face tiredly.

Hollyhock only nodded but watched goobys movements closely, wincing at the way the young man seemed so stressed over one person.

Gooby huffed and pulled out their phone, deciding he better confirm their place on the meet-up trip before he changed his mind. He opened the dm to Submissiveman and typed painfully slow.

Gooby: I'm coming

Submissiveman: yayy!! Can't wait to see you

The reply seemed to arrive instantly, as if Submissiveman had been waiting desperately for the answer gooby gave. It made gooby break our into a small smile, it may be tough putting up with some people for the time he way away but it would be worth it to finally see some of their closest friends. Plus, it wouldn't be hard to avoid Stix for the duration of the stay, it was only two weeks and Gooby assumed most activities would be in groups where he could easily stay conversing with others to avoid talking to Stix when it wasn't necessary.

Gooby smiled and put his phone away but paused mid step when it went off again. They pulled the device out again, assuming it was just some stupid comment that could wait until the later but vile rose to the back of his throat and he processed what the words said.

Submissiveman: just checked the villa. You and Stix will have to share a room sorry
