The Blessing of a Stranger

A House or a home?

Riley's P.O.V.
My home...my home...it got destroyed... where am I going to live now? How am I going to make money now? How will I help the homeless now? How can I survive now? I was hiding behind a bush when I overheard a tall woman stating a skeleton guy called them about my home...I knew I shouldn't have led him to my home...after hearing this I ran away from the sight and stopped at a nearby alleyway. After looking around to see if I was alone...I got on my knees and began to cry while hugging myself, I lost my one chance of survival by a complete stranger who not only blew up a restaurant for one girl, but also...nevermind...I haven't lost hope yet...I'll just have to find me another area to live at and to assure that NOBODY knows where I live. I was  lost in my own thoughts that I didn't notice someone approaching me from behind until I noticed the shadow in front of me, I turned around and... speak of the devil...it's HIM!
Tabi's P.O.V.
After the reconstruction team unexpectedly (to me) destroyed the house and no sight of the kid, I went out my way to find them...just to be sure that they made it out of the house ALIVE. I've searched everywhere and... this made me worry...that was until I heard some soft crying in an alleyway. I went to investigate and there they were...safe and sound...but also upset. When they noticed me...they were not happy at all; whose to say I blame them. While I can't see their eyes but their expression shows sadness and anger. "You did it..." that was all they said to me, I crouched down to their level "Yes...I did...but trust me when I say I never had any intention to demolish it to ashes. I promise...I called them so that they can get you out of that house...not to destroy it..." I stated "I don't believe you..." they said. Despite them being angry at me they're speaking and reacting rather calmly, well this kid sure is mysterious. After a minute of unsettling silence...I cleared my throat getting their full attention again "Do you have any where else to go?" I asked, they only gave out a sigh "Why do you care?" they asked wiping a tear "Why do you not believe me? I wanna help you...if you allow me..." I responded, they remained silent looking down to the ground for a moment "Okay..." they said. I sighed "You can stay with me until we find you a new home, okay?" I said, again they don't say anything nor gave out any reaction though I don't know if they're gonna to give an answer...or so I thought...they gave me a slight nod. I grabbed their hand and began leading them to my house/hideout, if I'm ever going to gain their trust...then it's gonna be while.
