Upon leaving the classroom Ritho would walk around the school hallways reflecting on everything he had just heard. Upon arriving in this world not too long ago, he knew something wasn't right, but being dead, the SSS, and the afterlife: all these thoughts and more were swirling in his mind. He decided to take a second to calm down, and collect himself. While collecting himself he began thinking about the advice Otonashi gave him and the first task ahead of him. "Find a group on people you can rely on that can rely on you that also have the same desire to find a way out of here, if you do that, no I know you can do that, then you'll find a way out of here." "That's great and all but how am I just supposed to find people that easily.. I don't exactly have a ton of information to go off of, but it's something." "Now how am I supposed to determine if someone is an NPC or not... mmmm well he that we unlike the NPCs can't actively participate in class.. so maybe, but what if they aren't an NPC and just don't know about the rule.., or what if they do know and they're just trying to erase themselves.., but wait who would tell them?" "Ah! This is so confusing!" Ritho would blurt out loud accidentally as people would stare at him, before going back to their conversations shortly after. As Ritho continued to roam the hallways, he began to find himself exhausted. " This is so hopeless..." He eventually would drop down and sit on one of the hallway walls taking a break as he began to overhear two girls gossiping nearby. Girl 1: "I know omg! No way~ is she still down there?" Girl 2: I think so, no one has caught her yet but she's totally losing it! What a weirdo.. what does she gain from that."
Even if Ritho wanted to pretend not to hear, the girls were so loud he couldn't help it, even though knowing it may not result in anything he still figured it would be better to ask, so he stood up and approached the girls awkwardly. "U-Um excuse me.. but could you guys please tell me what's going on?" Ritho would say curiously. Girl 1: "You haven't heard?! There's some psycho little girl rampaging downstairs!" Girl 2: "Yea, she's even like destroying all the windows with a bat and stuff! If the student council catches her, she'll be totes suspended, but it's like what she deserves anyways." "I see... thank you ladies." Ritho would say before dashing off in a hurry to confirm the commotion. "That doesn't seem like normal NPC behavior... if so.. then.. there's a chance.. I just might have found my hope!"
