My nasty dry hands dropped one of the shopping bags and Felix laughed. He picked it up and handed it to me.
"Thanks." i laughed.
That was embarrassing.
"My pleasure." he smiled.
For some reason i looked up at him and smiled. He held his gaze at me and kept our eye contact.
He winked and looked away.
I blushed and we left the store.
The sun was shining beautifully but its rays just werent strong enough to warm my arms im this stupid, chilly Brighton weather.
I shivered and apparently felix noticed.
"You okay love?"
"Just a bit chilly."
"Like my heart."
I laughed. "Liar."
Felix laughed too.
"Im joking. Lets get into a warm place-ooh that looks nice."
We entered a shop that was full of Christmas decor. I felt that it was a little early because Halloween was like right around the corner but thats nothing to worry about.
Felix walked ahead of me and picked up a green christmas hat and put it on my head. He was wearing one too but it was a red color.
"We're twinning!" he said in his most girly sarcastic voice.
He started laughing and i ripped it off my head and tossed it to him.
He tucked my hair behind my ear and smiled.
"Dont put ugly things on my head."
"Dont argue with me." he laughed.
"You cant tell me what to do." i playfully punched him in the shoulder.
"I would never."
I stepped in front of him and turned towards the ornaments.
There was a mirror to my side and i could see him in the mirror.
Felix pulled out a camera and i couldnt tell if he was filming or taking pictures.
Seeing his camera made me think of this morning, him in that youtube video. I had to ask him about it. But would it be rude if I asked?
"What are you doing with the camera?"
He flinched and turned it off.
"Nothing really," obviously he was lying. "I just thought that would've been a good picture to take, up close of that ornament." He motioned with his hand.
I stared at him blankly.
"Im into photography."
"Oh okay." i responded.
We walked around the store a couple times and i ended up buying fairy lights for my room and christmas ornaments.
Felix bought a couple ornaments, one which was a red heart and said "i love you" sewn across the middle.
"Who are you giving that to?" i had asked.
"I picked it up for my friend."
This made me sort of confused.
I looked at my phone and it was 4:13.
"I should get going." i said as i took the last sip of a hot apple cider he bought me.
"Okay, Maddie." he smiled at me.
"Today was fun we should do it again sometime."
"We should." i said acting casual.
We lightly hugged and said goodbye.
I walked back through the freezing cold to my apartment, unaware that Steve left a carved pumpkin on my doorstep that i nearly tripped over trying to get through the door.
I threw the bags across the floor almost hitting Soy who was asleep. I lugged the pumpkin into my kitchen. I saw a tiny corner sticking up on the other side of the pumpkin. i picked it up and found it was a sticky note.
"Dont go into your room"
I started laughing but i felt nervous at the same time.
I sat on my couch and i could hear shuffling near my rooms.
"Show yourself steve." i said.
"No thanks."
He walked down the hall into the living room area and held out his hand.
"Come on."
i took his hand and pulled me to the door.
"open it." he said.
"im scared."
i turned the knob.
