It wasn't that long of a drive to get to Six Flags. It was actually pretty fun, just Catherine and I, driving there, her parents in a different car. I still can't stop thinking about Augustus. "So, you look happy." Catherine exclaims. I giggle. "I went on a date with Augustus." I say. She raises an eyebrow. "Augustus Waters?" She asks. I nod. "Wow, he's hot, but I thought you have a crush on Lucas." She says. Lucas. I almost forgot about him. The kiss. Ugh, way to ruin my day Catherine. "Uhhum." Is all I say. She smirks. Why are we going to a little kid amusement park, you wonder. Well, if you've ever been, the rides there are hell. Upside down, flips, who knows. I have always loved roller coasters.
Finally, we get there. Catherine takes a deep breath. "Ready?" She asks, grabbing our tickets. "Wait, Catherine, Taylor, meet us at the picnic benches by noon." Catherine's mom says. "Okay." We say at the same time, then we go wait at the long park entrance.
"I'm bored." Catherine groans after ten minutes. "So am I." I reply. We wait a little longer, and finally make it to the front. "Tickets." The lady says. Catherine hands her both of ours, she looks at them, then let's us in. "What first?" Catherine asks. I look towards the big, towering rollar coaster to the left of us. "Goliath." I say. Catherine nods, and we run towards the line.
"Okay, I didn't think I would have to say this, but, I'm scared." Catherine says. "Me too." I say, my voice shaking slightly. We look at the giant drop, people screaming. "But, it's not like anyone died, right?" I say. She nods quickly. "Oh, yeah, once we get to the ride, take your glasses off." Catherine says, her voice uneven. "I know." I say with a small smile. She laughs.
We walk into the car, and I take my glasses off, I could see close up things, just not far away. I slip them in the little container thing attached to the seat, when the guy controlling it walks up to me. He has jet black hair, and dark blue eyes. "Need help, beautiful." He says, pushing the thing down. He looked about my age, I blush. He is hot. "Thank you." I mumble. "Anytime." He replies with a wink. Catherine starts laughing as he walks away. "What?" I ask with a groan. "He flirt with you." She says, still laughing. My face turns red. "So?" I growl. "Whatever." She says, smirking. I smile, as the roller coaster starts. "Hands up!" I yell as we start our way up. The nervousness in my stomach has formed into a scream, as we drop.
