It's been nine months.
Nine months of loneliness, despair, sadness and rage.
For he was everything she owned and everything she lost.
And today, she was attending his wedding, and seeing him for the first time after nine months.
As she looked at him, smiling at his new bride, she wonder. If he was happy, then why is the light she saw in his eyes was not there?
The light she fell in love with. The light she got lost in. Where was it?
Suddenly their eyes met. She wanted to look away, but she couldn't. A different kind of light filled his eyes. She knew it. Sorrow.
She averted his gaze. Why? Why was there such a sorrow filling his eyes? Does he miss her? Like she always does? Every second. Every minute. Every hour. She was so gotten used to missing him,now it ran in her blood, clinging to her bones.
She shook her head. There was no way. It was gone, the bond they had. No. He shattered it the day she told her that the only one night stand he had gotten that girl pregnant.
She knew, goddamn she knew it was the end, but the tears didn't stop. For the past nine months, she waited long nights laying awake in bed, silently hoping for it to be just a nightmare, even as silent tears of reality blinded her. She hadn't yelled at him. She hadn't blamed him. She understood his emotions so well that she knew he didn't meant it.
But, that understand didn't stop it when they drifted apart. It didn't stop her tears from falling.
For whatever it was between them was gone.

She was here.
After nine months, he finally saw her. Her eyes was filled with sorrow, but still she smiled at everybody, exept him. She even talked to his new bride.
She was trying.
Trying to pretend that everything was right, that she was alright. But he could see through that wall.
He hated himself for making things like this. Still, he wedded and found a new wife, had a feast for it. A hole was forming through his heart.
For everything left between them was gone.

Nine months ago.
After getting a juice because he was non alcoholic, he was sitting on a bench with his friends when his head began to spin.
He headed to the restroom. His vision blurred and he began to sweat. He splashed some water to his face, gasping for air.
Then he blacked out.
When he woke up, he was on a bed, his clothes damp from sweat. How did he end up there, he didn't know. But lying down felt nice. But he was hot.
And that was when she came in. He couldn't see her properly because his vision was blurred, but her rose scent was something he never mistook.
He called out to her, relieved. But her scent deepened the need, the want. So as she climbed top of him and claimed his lips, he gladly let her take him in.
And regretted it next morning.
When he woke up next morning with a headache, he found out the person beside him was not her, but someone else.
Shame and guilt swallowed him, but he waited. And prayed as she went to test her condition.
All of it shattered when the resaults came. She was pregnant.
So, that day after he ended his love, he died from inside.

They both knew that he was drugged. That what happened was unintentional. But it didn't change anything.
Who was the mastermind, they never found out. Maybe it was just an accident. A coincidence. But it didn't matter as the chose to go on different ways with a unhealing wound on their hearts.
He opened her wedding present that night, with his wife. It was a lovely scenery. His wife picked it up. A simple note fell out. His heart thundered, but he took it secretly. After his wife went to sleep, he read it. And he couldn't stop his tears.
We're gone. Don't look back. For even if you do, we're still gone.
