Third pov (a week after the last chapter)

"It's tough. The rebuilding of Paris is slow, there's still the occasional body found that needs to be buried." Marinette leans back in the chair, fiddling with her sleeves. "I still can't figure out how to get Tikki out of the earrings. My team is still trying to pull themselves together."

Dinah let her talk, listening intently and studying her body language.

"On a happier note, Damian has invited me to stay in Gotham for however long I want. So, that's something."

Dinah agreed. It sounded like a piece of sunshine compared to everything else.

"It sounds like visiting Gotham would be good for you." Dinah replied. "Do you have contact with the rest of your team at the moment?"

"Yeah. We update each other at least three times a week." Marinette answered. "We text and stuff like that. Lately we've been discussing trying to transform again."

Dinah nodded. "How do you feel about that?"

Time skip

Marinette left the conversation with Dinah feeling drained but calm. The weather outside was warm and sunny, improving her mood even more.

"Beloved."

Her head snapped up fast enough that it would've hurt a normal human, though the grin on her face said loud and clear that she hadn't registered that fact.

"Damian!"

Her boyfriend caught her as she basically threw herself at him and wrapped him in a hug that was almost too tight.

Nino let Adrien pull him along the streets, the two of them having just left Adrien's aunt to go meet Felix.

"This is so cool!"

Watching Adrien take in everything around him, knowing that he could buy whatever he wanted, eat whatever he wanted, all without a disapproving eye following his every step, it made Nino very aware of the freedom he'd grown up with.

"Do you think we can visit some thrift stores later? I want to see if I can find something for Marinette." Adrien sounded happy, then his voice took an anxious tone. "My aunt would be alright with that, right? I mean, she's never said I'm not allowed-"

Nino put a calming hand on his best friend's shoulder. "She's alright with it, I promise. Now, that's Felix over there, right?"

He pointed at a guy that looked almost exactly like Adrien.

"Yeah, it is. HEY FELIX, OVER HERE!"

Marc, Chloe and Luka were the ones that stayed pretty much full time at the cave. They had nowhere else to rest.

Luka felt obligated to help out when he was in Paris, Chloe's parents didn't give a shit about her and Marc's parents place had had to be torn down since it wasn't going to hold in the long run.

Marc had gone to visit his family right before they'd torn the building down, both to talk to his parents and move his stuff to the cave.

David had no issues admitting that he hadn't been fully keeping up with what was going on in Gotham while he was away. He'd tried, but after having been called to help some... Not safe to mention on any kind of record people, it was hard to stay up to date.

That didn't change his disbelief about the huuuuuugeeeee amount of stuff that had happened.

"Nettie is sweet a' pie. Hopefully you'll get ta meet 'er soon." Harley had said and smiled when he'd asked.

"Guess I'm visiting the bats." David mumbled to himself.
