A New Life

Progress! I Guess?

Ran, Elia and me left the mansion and sat by the lake, Ran was sitting to my left while Elia was on my right, chatting about all sorts of stuff. . Until Elia decided to touch upon the topic I wanted to avoid the most.

"So tell me Zain? You love Zeus don't you? How did it start?" She laughed.

"L-love? Wh-what would make you say that?!" I asked while looking away only to find Ran's face grinning at me. "Wh-what are you grinning at?" I asked her.

"Don't you think that you have something to tell me about?" Ran asked with a mischievous smile.

"I can tell her if you want." Elia said smiling.

"...... I feel like you already know Ran, don't you? I can't really keep anything from you. It's like you can read me from head to toe. Haha" I laughed.

"Maybe." Ran answered with a cheerful smile.

"We-well.. Zeus and I ... Accidentally kissed..." I started blushing.

"Accidentally? I mean I did guess it was a kiss but what do you mean accidentally?" Ran was quite curious while Elia had a look on her face as if she was holding herself from bursting out in laughter.

I told Ran the story of my 'first kiss' in all details and how I blacked out for a while and almost fell into the lake. Ran laughed so hard . "You know Zain? This is the best story you've ever told me in your whole life!" She said and continued laughing.

"St-stop laughing! It's already very embarrassing for me! You too Elia!" I said blushing heavily. While both of them kept on laughing.

"So, going back to my question!" Elia said as she pulled herself together, wiping the laughter tears from her eyes. "When did your relationship start?" She asked.

"I'm not too sure.... I mean the first time the thought of l-'loving Zeus' (I said it quitely and quickly) crossed my mind was when he asked me to pretend to be his girlfriend in front of an old friend of his... I didn't think much about it at the time, it was more like an experience I wouldn't put a cross on. Don't get me wrong I hated it for almost the whole duration, but for some reason I felt a little.. just a little disappointed that it ended. It was after it by a couple of days when I invited him to my house for a school project and he ended up confessing to me... Which resulted in the strangest emotion I'd ever felt in my life. I wasn't able to speak properly then." I looked up at the sky then back at them.

"Was he the first guy to confess to you?" Elia asked. Ran just smiled.

"No, there was another guy who confessed to me before who I was easily able to reject... But he kept trying with me until, now that I remember, he almost caused a huge fight with Zeus right by my doorstep." I explained remembering that incident.

Elia just seemed more and more excited.

"So? What happened?" Elia asked with a wide smile.

"It was right after Zeus had confessed to me, I asked him to leave immediately as I was panicking at the moment. I didn't follow him to the door I just stood in my living room when I suddenly hear that guy's voice, his name is Dan by the way, shouting at Zeus followed by a sound of a strong punch sending Zeus to the ground. I kinda snapped and ran to check on Zeus and saw Dan. I approached Dan, gave him a slap and ended up picking Zeus over Dan, I reacted partly by instinct back then, I thought that that was my best option, as well as it was a good chance to stop Dan from trying with me." I had a small smile as this has become kind of a special memory for me.

"I wanna know exactly how you told Dan to piss off!" Elia said ever so excitedly.

I laughed, "Hold on, let me try to remember how I snapped at him... After I slapped him I screamed 'clears throat' 'If I was to choose between you and Zeus I would choose Zeus you idiot donkey head! I don't even like your very existence! LEAVE NOW!! I DONT WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE ANYMORE' thinking back 'donkey head' is actually a funny insult." I started blushing... What a teenage girl I was back then...
