You enter the house, you Dad's arm around you and you can tell he was slightly shaken. To find out you almost died was a shock and he didn't expect that when had kissed you goodbye before you left for the carnival.

And you were mostly enjoying yourself until your dream came true. Entering the living room, he lets go of you as Harry came rushing at you. Hugging you tightly and you tap out but he refused to let go just yet.

"I heard what happened - " He pulled away and began looking at you, scanning for injuries and releases a sigh of relief when he found none. "How are you feeling?"

"Well, aside the whole almost dying part -" You send an apologetic smile towards your Dad when he coughs, narrowing his eyes at you. He didn't like you making light of the situation, specially when he was so worried. "I'm fine. Spider-Man saved me and I'm still gonna live long enough to annoy you."

Harry rolls his eyes half-heartedly and pulls away completely. "I knew you were gonna say something like that."

You stick your tongue out at him.

You had to argue with Harry for a good hour to let you leave the house - he was still worried about last night's events and you'd find it very sweet of him if he wasn't being very stupid. His argument lacked logic -

And that is that you could die from literally anything even at home - what happened yesterday was an unfortunate accident but that shouldn't be enough to basically lock you up at home.

It took some puppy eyes and dramatic whaling for him to give in.

Now here you are back at the carnival site - only there's still people cleaning up the accident and some yellow tape keeping you from going in. You wore something pretty simple today - you contemplated dressing up for your first official meeting with your soulmate, who happened to be Spider-Man, of all people!

But you decided against it - not wanting to let it show.

You're more than thrilled at the idea and tossed and turned all night but there's no need to be too grand over this. Your first meeting wasn't the best of circumstances and you don't want him to see you as the spoiled rich girl everyone did.

So you wore simple clothes instead of the dress you spent 10 minutes digging from your closet. Just a long-sleeved shirt and jeans - a jacket on top and that was it.

You glance down at your phone, checking the time and seeing it's 3:50pm. Just 10 minutes away and you can feel your nerves build up.

You shove your phone back in your pocket and began calming your breathing until it was knocked off from your lungs and you're suddenly swinging around New York in Spider-Man's arms.

You held onto him for dear life and choked on the screams you wanted to let out, his masked face stealing a quick glance at you while he swung around and you kept your eyes focused on him - afraid that if you turn to look elsewhere you'd actually scream.

The whole incident last night made your stomach turn when you thought of heights but having him this close, it was comforting and you didn't feel as terrified. All you could feel was him on you and the wind in your hair.

A few more swings later and he lands on a rooftop with you, you recognize it to be Oscorp's. Funny.

You take a step back from him, running a hand through your hair and letting out an exasperated sigh. "Oh wow - I could've done with a warning."

"I'm sorry - I just, didn't wanna risk anyone seeing us together. Might put you in harm's way if some villain finds out."

You nod, heaving and trying to calm your pounding heart. It was all you could hear and your hands were shaking - both from the thrill and the fear. That was your first time swinging around New York and you're not exactly sure that you're a fan.

"I get it." You said, inhaling sharply and then fixing your composure - remembering just where you are and who you're talking to. "So - do you wanna talk or?"

Spider-Man hesitated, taking a step forward and pulling his gloves off. Showing you his tattoo and you do the same, pulling at your jacket and shirt sleeves to see them both glowing - this still feels unreal.

"How does one date a superhero?" You ask, chuckling lightly.

"I wouldn't know. But I imagine it would be hard - " Spider-Man pauses, he stood there just looking at you and you almost shrunk under his gaze. "I know we're soulmates but I'd never force this on you."

"Force this on me?" You frown.

"Dating me would be work - what I do and what happens to me on the job shouldn't be a weight someone bears." He explained but all you could hear was a very obvious implication of being in a relationship with someone like him. "Tomorrows are never promised in what I do."

You make a face at him. "You think I haven't thought of that already?"

You take a step forward and takes a leap of faith by reaching for his hand. Intertwining it with yours, and your tattoo only glowed brighter with his hand on yours. You look down at it with a smile playing on your lips, it was beautiful and you lifted your gaze back up to meet the whites of his mask.

Admittedly - trying to express the love in your eyes is hard when you're sharing at a piece of spandex and have those white soulless eyes stare at you but you managed - allowing him to feel your determination.

"I'm sure I want this, I want you." You have no idea who that is under the mask but you're sure you wanted to be with him - you've waited all your life for him. To know there was someone out there made for you.

How can you just walk away from this?

"The universe quite literally made us for each other," You smile sheepishly at the cheesy line. "Not sure we can walk away from this even if we wanted to."

With his free hand , he reached for his face and pulled his mask off effortlessly. That caught you off-guard. You didn't expect to unmask him this soon and with less hesitance than you expected. You even readied a speech about liking whoever he is under the mask.

But here you are, staring at the most beautiful pair of brown eyes you've ever seen. Your lips part in shock - obviously recognizing him, and almost let out an audible gasp. You've seen him before, briefly.

He's Harry's friend and they've been best friends since kids - only you studied in another country and are mostly outside or holed up in your room whenever they'd hang out. You've stolen glances at him, you thought he was cute.

But crushing on your brother's best friend was such a cliche so you didn't entertain the thought for long. But here he is, Spider-Man suit on and a glowing tattoo on his wrist.

"I didn't see that coming." You whisper, sounding breathless and he chuckles.

"Neither did I," He gives you a coy grin and you would've melted right then and there. "It's nice to officially meet you. I'm Peter Parker, I occasionally go by Spider-Man."

You couldn't help the smile tugging at your lips. Your life will surely never be the same from here on out but that doesn't matter because right this moment, you're with your soulmate and he's everything you've ever dreamed of and more.

He wasn't some stranger (though you'd have no problem with that too) and instead the very cute and kind boy who hung out with your brother every weekend and your very first crush.

"I'm ____ Osborn. Lovely to meet you, Spider-Parker."
