Italics contain Shivaay's point of view
Annika was feeling strange and annoyed. Her mom was making her wear a saree cause her maybe to be in laws are coming to see her. She is standing leaning to the nearby wall with her arms folded under her chest.
The mom is pinning up the saree and murmuring numerous thing to which Annika didn't give a damn. So was scrolling through her phone and was feeling itchy, thanks to the saree, "Mummy yaar, I don't wanna wear this!"
Annika's mom slapped her head, "Sharam nhi aati maa ko yaar bolte hue? And you have to wear this!", she told sternly.
Annika huffed. Her phone rang. So she picked the call, "Ya Anami? Ya in the evening....don't even ask!....another man!", she disconnected the call. She looked at her mom who was starting her curtly.
"You're not going anywhere?", her mom ordered.
"I'll go in evening Mummy!", Annika opposed.
"And mark my words, don't you dare pull any sort of stunts this time. Don't act mannerless in front of them!", her mother clipped her hair.
"Do I have any option this time?", Annika told.
"Sadly you don't!", they heard a voice which made them turn around. Annika's dad stood there, "The Oberoi's are here. Come down soon!", saying so, he walked out and so does her mom.
Annika banged her hand on the table, "How can someone's parents be like that! I don't wanna marry means I don't!"
Soon, the Trivedi's welcomed the Oberoi's in their mansion. They themselves had sent an alliance for Annika Vardhan Trivedi for their son Shivaay Singh Oberoi. He, along with his mother Jhanvi Singh Oberoi and father Tej Singh Oberoi were here.
As they seated in the living room of Trivedi mansion, Shivaay, who had donned a black tuxedo looked around to find the most beautiful face according to him, missing. As the elders greater and talked about random stuffs, the maid was ordered to call Annika down.
My heart beat skipped at beat when I saw an epitome of beauty descending down the stairs in a purple saree. She looked damn good and gorgeous. Its not the first time I am seeing her, just that, first time in a saree.
While Annika, she looked at Shivaay who was unknowingly checking her out, she smiled inwardly and ignored his gaze and goes to the elders. She smiled till her cheeks hurt, as thaught by her mom and then raised her hand to say a Hi but again, her mom had taught to say Namaste. She joined her hands, "Namaste".
Tej and Jhanvi adored Annika as they made her sit beside them. Annika was true in every sense, not just because her mother asked her to be.
"Why don't we let Shivaay and Annika talk in solace?", Tej suggested.
Annika scrunched her nose but Shivaay beamed with happiness.
"Annika, take Shivaay along with you to the terrace", ordered her father.
Annika got up and so does Shivaay. As both of them climb the stairs to reach the terrace, Shivaay thought to initiate the conversation once they reach up.
They reached the terrace and as soon as they reached, Annika took the loose end of her saree which was on her right hand and held it over her shoulders completely.
He felt bewildered and surprized at her sudden actions. Before he could react, she goes and sits on the couch, "Saree sucks!" she spike and looked at him, "Do you need an invitation to sit there?", she pointed at the couch across her.
He came out of his thoughts, "What?"
She sighed, "Do. You. Need. An. Invitation. To. Sit. There?", she asked again.
