Chapter 2: The ER

As Shark waits in the waiting room for the news about Yuma. Cathy, Tori, Flip and Caswell show up to be with Shark. "How is Yuma doing," asked Tori. "The doctor hasn't come out yet to tell me how Yuma is doing,". " I've been sitting here for quite some time now," said Shark with his hands on his face with his head down. Everyone knew that Shark was really worried about him. As the hours tick on by, The doctor finally walks out of the doors. Everyone including Shark stands up. "You must be Yuma's partner," said the doctor, extending his hand out for Shark to shake. Shark shakes his hand in return. "So how is Yuma doing doc," asked Shark. "Well, Yuma is really lucky that Bronk didn't eruption his liver,". "He had to have his liver stitched back up and stitches on his side," "Other than that, Yuma is doing great,". "He is recovering quite well, Shark," said the doctor. Shark lets out a sigh of relief. "If you all wanted to, you all can go see him," said the doctor pointing towards the doors that lead to the recovery rooms. Shark, Cathy, Tori, Flip and Caswell nod their heads and heads through the doors to Yuma's recovery room. As they enter Yuma's room. Shark had tears in his eyes. Lying there was Yuma with an oxygen mask on his face. He also lost some color to his skin from losing blood. "Oh my," said Tori, who was also trying to hold back her tears. Shark leans in and kisses Yuma on the forehead. "Should we leave you and Yuma to have some space to yourselves," ask Caswell. Shark looks at them and nods his head. "Okie, we will leave you two alone," said Caswell who looks at the others. Cathy, Tori, Flip, and Caswell leave Shark to be with Yuma. Caswell closes the door behind them. Once, Shark was alone with Yuma. Yuma leans up and kisses Shark on the lips. " Ssshharrkkk you came,". " Of course I came, I was worried about you," said Shark. Yuma noticed Shark was crying. " I thought I was going to lose you Yuma," said Shark. Yuma then pulls Shark closer to him. "Well you didn't,". " I am still here," said Yuma. Shark then hugs Yuma close to him to where Yuma was in his lap and not the bed. " I will make sure that Bronk will pay for what he did to you,". " I will make sure he will be put where he belongs," said Shark. "Really, you would do that for me,'' asked Yuma in shock, looking into Shark's eyes. "Oh course,". " Like I told you before,". " I will do anything to keep you safe, Yuma," said Shark. Yuma then smiles. "But what happened to him once I blacked out,". " All I remember was I saw the coach, Flip, and Caswell pinning him down," said Yuma. "Well, once you blacked out,". "The coach called the medic's including the police,". "The police handcuffs Bronk and drags him away," said Shark. "Oh so Bronk is behind bars,". "Yep, and I'll make sure he'll stay there for the rest of his life," said Shark. "He doesn't deserve to be around you nor does he deserve to have you as a friend,". "I agree and I hope he does stay away from me too," said Yuma. Before Shark could kiss Yuma. Shark's sister Rio Kastle and Yuma's sister Kari burst into the room. They both freeze when they see Yuma in Shark's lap. "What in the hell is going on," asks Rio with her hands on her hips. "I was about to ask the same thing," said Kari. Shark put Yuma back into bed," said Rio. Shark then holds Yuma closer to him. "No, he is staying in my lap," said Shark with a glare on his face. "Whattt, I don't understand," said Rio. "Yeah, I don't understand either," said Kari. "Tell us what is going on between you two,". Shark then looks at Yuma. Yuma gives a little nod yes to tell him it's ok to tell them. "Well you see Rio and Kari,". "Me and Yuma are dating," said Shark. "Whatttt, you two are dating, '' said Kari in shock. "OMGGGG, Really!!! it's about time you two started dating," said Rio in a cheerful tone voice. Kari looks at Rio with a weird glare. "How did you know these would end up being a thing?," asked Kari. Kari gives Rio a glare look of whatever on her face. She then points at Shark. " I swear if you do anything to hurt my brother's heart,". "I will make sure you'll pay," said Kari. " I will make sure that Shark won't do that to Yuma," said Rio. "I wasn't talking to you Rio," said Kari. Rio looks at Kari with a serious look on her face. "I don't care if you weren't talking to me,". " All I am saying is that I'll make sure that my brother won't do anything to hurt your brother's heart," " And if he does then I rather you come after me then him," said Rio. "Fine," said Kari. Shark and Yuma then laugh together at their sisters arguing. Yuma then whimpers in pain. "You ok my love," ask Shark. "Where are you hurting,". "It's my liver,". "I forgot I had stitches there lol," said Yuma. "Maybe you shouldn't be laughing quite yet," said Shark. "Yeah you do have a point," said Yuma smiling. Rio and Kari smile too. "Man, you do both make a great couple," said Kari. "Yeah they do," said Rio smiling. "Well we should leave them both to have their space," said Kari. "yeah we should,". "Hey, did you want to hang out today or do you still have to do your work portfolio?," ask Rio. "Oh I actually still have to do that," said Kari. "Well do you need help with it," "Then later we can go girl shopping," said Rio. "Sure!!! I wouldn't mind the help Rio," smiling Kari. "Okie, smiling Rio. "Well we will leave you two alone," said Kari. "And Shark don't stay here all day ok," " You'll need the rest too you know," said Rio. "Yeah I know sister but I plan to have the hospital have Yuma leave earlier so I can have him come home with me so I can keep an eye on him,". " I don't trust to leave him here, not on what happened today," said Shark. "What do you mean?,". "What happened at school today," asked Kari. "Well, I will tell you when we are at your house while we are working on your portfolio," said Rio. "Okie, said Kari. "And Shark if you do happen to get Yuma out earlier here at the hospital,". "You are welcome to stay with Yuma up in his room at the house," said Kari. "Thanks Kari but I was thinking of having him in my room at mine and my sister's house," said Shark. " I don't want him sleeping in his hammock cause I am afraid he'll fall out of it,". "You do got a point there,". "Okie, he can spend a few nights with you until he recovers," said Kari. Shark smiles. "Oh can we have a girl sleep over at your house Kari,". "We haven't done one of those for quite some time now," said Rio. "Yeah, we haven't and that sounds like a great idea,". " Let's do it," said Kari. "Okie, '' smiled Rio. "Okie we will be heading off now,". "Take care of you too and we'll see you two love birds eventually," said Rio and Kari as they waved goodbye as they closed the door behind them. "Well it looks like we are alone again," said Shark. "Yeah," said Yuma looking at him. "Are you ready to head to the house or do you want to stay here longer," asked Shark. " I am ready to leave when you are,". " I don't want to stay here,". "It is freaky to stay in a hospital at night," said Yuma. Shark smiles. "Okie, I will let the doctor know that you're ready to leave," said Shark. He then picks Yuma up bridal style in his arms and places him back into the hospital bed. " I'll be right back," he said, kissing Yuma on the lips. "I'll be here waiting for you," said Yuma. Yuma watches Shark leave the room. ( Man, I am thankful to have someone in my life who actually cares like Shark) ( I wonder what we plan on doing when we get to his house.) After a few minutes, Shark returns with a hospital bag with his school belongings. "Here, I brought you your stuff for you to change out of the hospital nightgown," said Shark walking over to me. "Yeah, but how did my stuff get here,". "Oh when the medics were taking you to the hospital,". " I went back to the locker room and changed out of my PT clothes and I decided to grab yours too," said Shark, placing the bag next to Yuma. "Do you need help changing out of your hospital gown or are you ok to do it yourself," asked Shark, pulling out his clothes out of the bag. "I think I can do it myself but I would like you to stay to make sure I get dressed without hurting myself even more," said Yuma. "Okie, I can do that," said Shark, handing Yuma his shirt. As Yuma was changing, Shark could see his wound on his side of where Bronk stabbed him. He sure did have stitches and his side was bruised up too. ( Can't believe Bronk did this to Yuma) ( Yuma my love doesn't deserve to have that wound on him) ( I will definitely get revenge for Yuma and make sure that Bronk is put where he belongs) "You ok Shark," asked Yuma who was putting on his shoes. "Yeah I am ok,". "It's just me having a lot of things on my mind about what to do with Bronk," said Shark. "Oh yeah,". "Well, I do too cause I just don't want him near me ever again nor do I want to hear what he has to say about what happened," said Yuma. Yuma then clams off the hospital bed. When Yuma took his first step. He falls down due to the sharp pain in his side. Lucky Shark catches him. " You ok my love," asked Shark. " Awww I can't walk because of the sharp pain in my side," said Yuma. "Well if that's the case," " I might as well carry you for a while until you're healed," said Shark, picking Yuma up bridal style in his arms. "You sure,". "You don't have to carry me all the time," said Yuma. "Why is that?,". "Well, I am worried about what people will say about us," said Yuma. " I really don't care what everyone thinks,". "We belong together and they can go off and say what they want about us but it's not going to change us and are love," said Shark kissing Yuma on the lips. Yuma kisses Shark back. They stay kissing for a while then let go of each other's lips. "So what do we do now,". "What"s are plans," asked Shark. " I don't know what you want to do,". "Well, I thought we could take a joy ride tonight and have a picnic at a spot where I wanted to try out and it's away from Heartland City so no one will bother us while we are there enjoying the star's," said Shark. "I would love that," said Yuma. "I knew you were going to say that," said Shark smiling. "Then let's go," giggles Yuma. He then whimpers in pain again. " I need to learn not to giggle for a while so I don't get this sharp pain anymore," said Yuma. "Yeah, just smile instead of giggling,". "That will help trust me," "I had to do that when I hurt my side one time," said Shark. "Yeah, well I should do that," said Yuma smiling. "Are you ready to head out for some fun and alone time," asked Shark. "Of course I ammm,". "I am ready when you are," said Yuma. Shark then smiles. He then takes Yuma and walks out of the hospital with him in his arms.
